Rafe shifted enough to move his ankle to rest on his other knee. As he sat there he stared straight ahead, trying not to give Simon a look. The fledgling was having lots of problems and he wasn't entirely sure how to help. After a moment a faint sigh escaped his lips before he shifted again on the bench.
"Dios, mio. I am trying to be here for you. I know that whole ordeal with the sun missing left you, well, to be frank, has turned you into a lost soul. I have barely heard from you and it worries me." He draped a hand over his ankle and finally fixed Simon with his dark gaze. The look he gave the other vampire was indifferent, but at least it wasn't angry or full of pity. Raphael knew better then to pity the other vampire. No fledgling wanted pity or at least Rafe had never wanted any. At this rate, he was going to have to talk to Magnus and see if there was something they could do for Simon. If the Clan was around it would be easier, he'd have other vampires helping, but no it was just Rafe here. Well, and Anslem. He didn't want that LA vampire helping in anything.
Dios. This was a mess.
"I want to help you, but that only works if we talk."
