"Not exactly. I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I didn't get all of the details. Just a general warning to behave." Elena gave Bonnie a wry smile. She knew that the warning wasn't directed at her so much as it was directed at Damon. They all stepped over the line sometimes but Damon did it more often and unapologetically. Elena was worried but she knew that if anyone could convince this hunter that they were okay, it was Stefan.
"For whatever reason, Stefan has to deal with her. I'm sure that they can work it out." She hoped that they could work it out. Elena hadn't had the greatest luck with hunters. Having your brother want to kill you really sucked. But Allison wasn't Jeremy and she wasn't the hunters from back home either. Elena had not-so-fond memories of burying her first real kill because he had come at her and the people she cared about. She didn't want to think about that happening here.
"So what do you think? What would I be good at? I don't really love my options. There's the boutique. I could be a salesgirl. What do you think? Would you buy clothes from me?"
Elena's plan had been to get by on compulsion for awhile so it was disheartening to know she would have to get a job right away. She had nothing but reserves now, not that she had to worry. Damon always seemed to get by too. They didn't seem to have the control that Stefan and Caroline did.
"Want to get a drink?" Elena asked, nodding towards O'Neills right across the street. Elena spent a lot of time at Opus because Damon worked there but O'Neills had a fun vibe that was a little more low key.
