"That's right," Dixon said with a big old grin. He was pretty happy to be chilling in this booth with two fly honeys rather than standing up there with a microphone in his hand helping Bubba get in the mood for his sweet and smooth 90's R&B classics. Dixon had to hand it to the guy, he had a lot of passion for it but that didn't mean Dixon wouldn't prefer the company of a couple of cute girls instead.
Now that he was sitting with them, they both smelled a little like a bar or rather, like they had been drinking the whole bar. He had no idea that Elena could drink forever and it would take a second forever to actually get drunk. She was giggling and in a good mood so the assumption that she was drunk too was an easy one to make.
"What am I doing?" He hoped he was going home with these two but he thought that might be pushing his luck. Besides, Dixon was stone cold sober. He pretty rarely got drunk because of his addiction problems. Alcohol had never been one of his vices but he was afraid that he might make it one in the absence of pills or gambling. He wasn't that much of an asshole to take advantage of a couple of drunk girls.
"Just cleaning up around here probably. Same as usual on karaoke night. Clean up the bar, put away all the equipment, have a drink and go home. Well, go to the hotel since home is all the way across the country. I'm from Beverly Hills. How about you?"
He was asking both of them but he turned his head to look at Bonnie. Elena was cute, she was beautiful actually but Bonnie was the one who had caught his eye.
"You gonna come back? I can tell you got a voice on you. I used to work in the music business back home. Drunk karaoke aside, girl you can sing."
