Getting Nathan to agree to speak to him hadn't been a difficult task. Finding a time in the day where he could get away had been far more complicated. In the end, he had agree to meet him for a lunchtime chat. As Nathan stepped out of the government building, he looked up at him, offering the best smile that he could muster as Nathan took the steps two at a time. It was a smile enough matter, all he had to do was get close enough to touch him and all of this would be over. Of course, orchestrating the rest of it would be far more complicated.
"Parkman," Nathan's voice hit his ears as the man reached the bottom of the steps, crossing over next to him. "I have to say I was surprised to hear from you. But it's good to see you're settling in."
He nodded, falling into step next to Nathan as they walked away from the building into the streets, "It's an adjustment, but I expect it'll be getting a lot easier soon." To say the least. Sparing another glance over at Nathan, he smiled as he motioned towards the nearby park, "We'll be better able to talk here," He said, turning his direction and thankful when Nathan followed.
"Talk about what, exactly?" Nathan asked, the curiosity on his expression well meaning as he turned back to Matt. "You know, this could have been done a lot easier if you'd just made an appointment, Matt."
"This isn't something I can talk to you about in the office," He said before looking back at Nathan as they reached a clearing that seemed to be well enough deserted, pausing for a long moment before turning back to Nathan with a heavy frown as he reached out, his hand hovering for a moment just above Nathan's shoulder. "Sorry," He said before resting the hand down and watching until his gaze left Matt's eyes.
Jerking, control coming back to his body, Matt heaved a long breath, hand jerking away from Nathan's shoulder as his eyes narrowed at him, "You BASTARD!" Grabbing Nathan's collar, Matt shoved, slamming him back against a tree. "Stop pretending. Stop using his face!" Matt shouted, shaking Nathan a few more time until he felt himself shoved backwards, a hand coming up to push him away without even touching him.
The broken and confused look in Nathan's eyes lingered on Matt for a moment before he looked up towards the sky and lifted off the ground, the boom sounding around the park as Nathan disappeared into the distance.
