Safe Zone: A Multifandom Zombie Apocalypse Game

We realize that this game has sort of lost a lot of it's life, and we take responsibility for this. But we are going to make a concerted effort to get it going again with plots and more activity. Before we do that, though, we need to see who is still around and interested. Basically, this post is going to serve as a role call. So if everyone could please respond with the following information in a comment below, we would appreciate it.

Hello all! We have a quick announcement that we'd like to make, if we could please have a moment of your time.

As everyone here knows, safezone is located in New York City and set in 'real time'. This means that, currently, it is January. That also means that it's cold. Very cold. After all, it's winter up north.

So the point of this post is to let everyone know that, starting now, the weather is going to start getting worse. Whereas there's been mostly snowfall that has been dealt with easily enough, the snow is going to increase. Temperatures are going to drop. The roads will ice over. The sidewalks will ice over. It will be windy, and there will be freezing rain when it isn't snowing. And when neither of those are taking place (since we aren't talking a global epidemic of weather type stuff) it will be very cold and generally miserable. Unless you are Jess and happen to like the cold, but that's beside the point.

We have a few plans for this weather. Like we said, nothing out of the ordinary for those who are familiar with weather in New York in the heart of winter, but given the environment within the Safe Zone obviously complications are going to arise. There aren't nearly enough people to keep the roads clear so traveling is going to prove more difficult. Getting supplies is also going to start proving more difficult, both for local vendors as well as the government and the military. That sort of stuff.

And that's it, really. If you want your characters to start commenting on the weather, feel free. The point of this is to introduce a natural sort of obstacle that everyone will need to deal with and eventually overcome in some capacity. Just keep in mind that it's not an instant avalanche of snow nor are the temperatures 120 below zero or anything of that nature. It's just winter. In New York. With a few twists along the way.
