[Nods.]

Right now, you won't remember anything. You'll get back your old memories a little at a time, as prizes for playing in games.

Oh, okay! So if I don't know anything now, I'll learn it later. I was wondering why you all knew so much more than me.

Mm. It's normal to start that way, when you wake up.

You'd better learn the important things fast, though. This is a dangerous place.

I'll do my best to learn things fast, then!

The games are run by judges, who are manipulative and sadistic. They range from harmless to violent and deadly, and we don't often get a choice as to whether to play in them.

The same as what the other boy in white said. Except that we have to play, and the name thing.

Don't listen to him too much. He doesn't like our team.

Oh, so Surgeon, Trickster, and Game Master are good guys?

No, they're three of the worst. But I'm sure he's claiming that some of them are trustworthy, too- which is a lie. Even the ones that people think are safe have been known to turn on us.

The only one that seems prone to helping us is Messenger, and even he shouldn't be trusted completely.

He said the Beauty and Twins are harmless, and that the Dude and Waterbearer haven't done anything bad yet, and that Soldier's games are hard but not dangerous, but if you say not to trust them, I won't.

Beauty has turned her game over to Trickster midway before. So has Soldier. A lot of people died in both of those games, and they were previously judges that people thought could be trusted.

The ones whose games tend to be the worst are Trickster, the Game Master, and King. Surgeon’s games aren’t usually terrible, but he imposes a penalty for losing or throwing his games. Beast doesn’t run games, but has been known to cause trouble between them.

Veiled and Angel have kidnapped people before, and Gambler’s games have caused physical harm. Beauty and Soldier have had games that were turned over to Trickster midway. Persona invades people’s hearts, and Mirror is just as intrusive.

There are also Angel, Flowers, the Graces, Librarian, Queen, the Dude, the Twins, and Waterbearer. For the most part, their games have been harmless, but they still shouldn’t be trusted.

There’s a male judge that comes to take blanks away sometimes, as well- and an Old Woman, who ran her first game a few days ago. I’ll tell you more about her inside the dorm.

We work together in the games and out of them, and win and lose together. It only makes sense.

[...giving you sort of a long look. :|a]

Before I take it, I want to make sure you know everything you need to know.

Have you heard about the other teams? The things to avoid outside of games?

Chaz told me about the rules, and Carly about the other teams. I think that's it. Is there something else I should be avoiding?

Mm. There are big lizards called raptors in the caves past the river. They have sharp teeth and claws and they'll go after people when they have the chance.

Behind the waterfall there are bearbees, and the beebats live on the ceiling. Stay out of their way and they'll leave you alone.

Also, there are little worm-like things called terapedes that are very dangerous.
