[The frantic roar and chaotic dance of fire seems to calm and still as the wave crashes over it. Moving slowly, almost as if in slow motion, the fire gutters and dims for a moment, leaving a wide path, but the wave itself breaks harmlessly on the black scales.

As the snake lifts its head, missing the chance to snack on Parrot, the Guardian turns to focus on River instead. It winds its body, wrapping around where River still stands and begins to constrict, fire still blazing hot.]

[thrashing is painful thrashing is painful1!! FOCUSES ENTIRELY ON SELF-DEFENSE RAIN FLAMES, keeping himself from being crushed. Once they loosen he moves to get the fuck out. Sssome of those bones were important...

[There's a moment of hesitation. Of completely stillness, a flick of the godling's tongue in the air...

Before the fire leaps again... It rises up around it like a tsunami, crashing down in a circle around itself, the suffocating blast of air racing just a little in front of the incoming inferno.

Kazuha is thrown backwards before the fire can immolate her, or, for that matter, her katana can pierce. Parrot's spear vanishes into the fire.. though whether it struck or not... You don't really have time to find out.]

[Over the roar of flames you hear.] I WILL NOT LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF THOSE WHO TURNED THEIR BACK ON DUTY.

I remember! I remember Fylla and I remember her love of the gods! After that whole event, I tried to believe like she did, that they were just doing what was necessary for the good of everyone, but it's not like that!

King is only doing what's good for him! We saw him destroy his fellow gods, destroy the balance, all to keep himself alive!

Caduceus is the messenger of the gods. Well, here's the message, those who work with King don't care anymore about their people or their duty!

Will you remember what your real duty is or will you be blinded by the loyalty to a king who has turned his back on his people?!

[As the words reverberate through you, the form of a giant black spider materializes on the air, it lunges forward, fangs biting deep into scales and muscles with surgical precision, poison running fast through its veins.

It seems to be too much. At that, the Guardian gives another roar, deafening, and lunges upwards. The spider vanishes in smoke. The water bursts like ice as it puts everything into this last move.

Great fangs bite deep into Edge's arm and throws him further up into the air like a rag doll. Before he has time to reorient himself, to use the metal at his own feet, the snake's maw snaps him up out of the air, swallowing him, and the sword, whole.]
