Ophiuchus. I put on a one man play.

I also have a few extra fruits and some balloons.

You did? (I missed it . . . damn.)

. . . why balloons?

It wasn't anything impressive, I assure you.

They were going to be for the party, but since there isn't going to be one, I figured I'd be able to find another use for them. Not sure what just yet.

I'm sure there's something we could use them for . . . well, aside from what they're meant for.

I'm not going to blow them up just to pop them, that's for sure. If Detective Skye were here, she'd go "Let's use them for SCIENCE" or something.

Eugh. . .

[. . .'-'a. . .]

Do you think that's possible?

[. . . actually thinks about it]

Well, if we fill them with something with the same consistency as blood, probably . . .

Ah, that might be hard to find here. Maybe water--or muddy water? I guess I could sacrifice that crap they call gruel in our rations. . .

--er. We haven't had any cases of people falling from great heights here, right?

Muddy water might work, or—haha, that might too.

. . . not that I've heard of?

It'd be a better use for it than calling it food.

O-oh, good. I'm just thinking, if we did hypothetically test that, it'd make sense to do so around dangerous spots like that. Or off of Lepus' tower, though we don't need to worry about any of them.

It would, mm . . . and hypothetically, it is a real risk if someone isn't careful.

Ah--! Is there any way to hypothetically test how long one could survive such a fall, even if they were in the process of bleeding out? I remember in one of Mr. Wright's old cases, they thought a victim had been pushed to his death, and then had written his murderer's name in the dirt! But they never called into question his broken neck. Is such a thing possible?

(Haha, he's suddenly so excited.)

I . . . would think so? There's a number of factors that would come into question aside from bleeding out and a broken neck, like a broken rib puncturing an organ - and what organ is damaged in that case - and environmental factors, too, but . . . I don't see why we couldn't test it.

If only we had a life-sized dummy or something--this is a lot easier with the computers back home. The balloons would have to suffice. . .

There are a bunch of cliffs near Delphinus, right? And lots of people frequent there, I think.

It would be, but any calculations we have to make we can just do by hand, as tedious as it'll be. We could probably use a lizard carcass if we could get our hands on one . . . maybe a smaller one . . .

Mm, I think so.

Eeh, what isn't tedious here? And. . that might actually be possible. We just need a fish and some of those sleeping berries.

It's a good test area then. Just have to make sure there isn't anyone walking below.

Heeh . . . that would work really well. We could manage it by ourselves, too.

Mm! [nods] When do you want to do this, then?

Maybe tomorrow, or the day after? Maybe people will be more settled since Mirror's to rest. . .! And if anyone gives us weird looks, we can just say we're acting as a distraction for the keystone hunters.

That and we're just plain curious, which is the truth.

Heh, tomorrow would work - I can do a few things later on to get it started.

I have a feeling no one will really bother us, but it's good to have a few back-up stories. Truthful ones, for the most part.
