[A smile.]

You can take that out when you go for the King's bond.

Good to know.

It's definitely taken care of. Don't worry.

I had it under control.

[And really only Mitsuru has any idea how much of a lie that IS.]

Anyways... the most interesting move she made was the one for Messenger.

We're fairly sure it wasn't to get HIM, insomuch. She really didn't care all that much when we failed outside of a few threats and ownership allusions.

We think she was after communication. The ability to understand one another. A simple, if efficient way to undermine all order and instantly put the entire Block into chaos.

[He spreads his hands.] Don't expect her moves to be straight forward, predictable, or even on the same level.

...she was trying to make herself more powerful while undermining the King, in other words.

. . . She should definitely be taken out before him in that case. At the same time would be ideal, but I don't know how possible that is. Her power going wild would be more catastrophic than King's.

You said you'd heard something about King's keystone, didn't you?

[Glances at Nishi for a second, but then speaks anyway, after a slight pause.]

"He will place it at the heart of his order. The place where the power of a Game will reach a Judge, so that he may take his tithing."

[... "Not as much as I'd have liked" huh?]

Could be a couple of places.. but it sure as fuck narrows it down.

Mm. It does.

. . . It sounds like the throne to me.

That's what I thought, too. People were talking about a keystone being in the ceiling, as well, so that's also a possibility.

In the ceiling . . . ? Maybe, but the throne itself seems more likely to me.

The throne is likely, the ceiling tends to be there even when the throne isn't... There's also the Ophiuchus dorms under the Arena. .. I know for a fact that the Guardian's chamber has several Judge themed murals.

[Trying to remember what he's seen of it. :|a]

If it's there, it would have plenty of protection built in. It would be an ideal place for him to keep it, and hard for us to get it out.

...but one more thing. We can check to see if it's in the throne or the ceiling now, but I think we should wait to try and retrieve his until we've taken out a few minor judges.

Speaking of which... there's several reasons Hydra's partnership with Orion will be ideal...

One... The best area to search is probably the ruins. Every time Ophiuchus has been deployed, it has been in that area. I've been told there's some connection to the past there... and I had noticed Hydra had completed a mapping mission there. We've been out extensively.

Two... The searches are best conducted after curfew. It might not be enough to cover a keystone being moved, but with a means to hide it, we have a better chance of losing opposition in true darkness.

With the lanterns that Ophiuchus has, the Old Man will not be as active in that circle... I assume you wont have any problems getting a lantern yourself if we have our own means?

Aa . . . The map of the ruins isn't complete yet, but it's better than anything anyone else has so far.

And of course we won't have a problem getting a lantern. We can probably get fucking chaperones if we want.

We can do without the chaperones.

And the chaperones can do without this.

Unless they're damn ready to pull the same move we did... there's no way they wont be noticed.

The first one we get, before we destroy it, I want to use it to test something.

We can get rid of it right afterward.
