[Out this far, it's not something that your eyes can tell anymore. There's no real difference between the consuming dark of curfew and the endless dark of a place where no light touches at all. But it's something you can feel. Something pulls back away from you and you can feel the metal under your feet, comforting and reminding you, somehow that yes, you do still exist past the bruises and dull ache of walking. There's a WORLD and it's not just you. You can hear water, the comforting sharpness of your own footfalls on rock.

More importantly.. the ground stills. No more of the gentle rocking, soft and firm sometimes, ground mushy and unpleasant others. Sometimes, it's nice to just pretend you've gone crazy.

Of course, when you finally see light, a soft, wispy green glow.. you might think that you really HAVE finally done it.]

Right kind of you.

[He seems in no overall hurry to move, his actions slow and patient as he reels in the line. Something a slightly brighter shade than the water around, formless and ethereal, comes up with the line. It curls around and through his bony fingers, almost playfully, before he tucks it gently into his pocket.

The Gentleman stands, using the fishing pole as a walking cane, and starts towards the maw, picking a path just to the south.]

I imagine you aint much of the nattering type, bit refreshin' in a way.

	I will give you that, had your hands a bit overfull last time. [As he walks out into the dark, yet another thing in the parade of strange happens... it's not like there's light... but you can see the outline of everything in the dark, thin white lines tracing the tunnel walls and the Gentleman, as if dimly backlit.] How did that all turn out? One way or another, this place is comin' to an end. Aint nothin' stopping that.

[Dizzy enough, disorienting enough... it's hard to tell how far you've walked. It seems like a lot, but it hasn't really been long at all, has it?]

But that's another thing I fancy to. Again, not that you're out here to find out what I like and all. But, there's no place for me to be judging a man, by their quality or by what morals they grew up with.

It is a universal thing though, aint nothin' more wretched than a soul what meets its end that didn't live by what he thought were right.
