You just explained to us and I heard your reasons. You believe it will avoid a massacre seen in a vision and it will keep King from finding out. There is another version of Mirror that you believe will take over.

First off. She's attempting to leave soon. Whether or not she's really gonna succeed, we don't know, but she's fully confident enough that she can to not worry about what King might do. The only reason she's still waiting around, is that she's got "all her parts save one".

The vision, that was seen before the idea of going into her heart was ever thought of--- in that vision she was broken completely. Destroyed as Surgeon and Weaver were by King's hand. If this happened, it would be an obvious proof to King that Blanks had actually found a way to destroy a Judge.

...to break her like that, at all, takes two things. Completing her with the last piece of herself. And using Surgeon's hammer on her. We have both those things. But to give the piece back to her, just like that-- she might try to leave right then and there, and anything we tried to do to her, she would see coming. Because the piece was originally kept by Surgeon, she would have reason to believe we might have something of his that could be used on her, too. She's already suspected it because of something someone said to her in a Game, and she's been trying to confirm it for herself.

If we find a way inside her instead-- the hearts Persona's power can be used on aren't always conscious that something's happening. We could even manage to take her by surprise in that sense. And the ones who would go in-- who would be at risk-- would be the people who could understand Mirror best, who have their own bonds with her, who could be exploited by her the least, and few others. That very fact itself might cut down the risk-- because understanding what lies in a heart makes a world of difference.

You know what hearts are. They can be dangerous. There can be things in them that can harm-- but there's also things in there that can protect. Not all parts of a heart obey the "will". So even if the "will" doesn't intend to hurt anyone, there are parts of the heart that might-- and likewise the opposite.

And the other Mirror, the one who got originally covered up when the second Mirror took over-- if there's anywhere she might be able to affect the dominant one, it's in the heart space itself, where she definitely still exists-- as a part of it, or a second heart in itself.

It's hoped that destroying the parts that make the second Mirror would leave only the first, but still leave a "Mirror" in existence, and that has at least a better chance of not rousing King's suspicions in the short term. If we're lucky it won't even attract his notice at all.

Those who understand how Mirror works, who've learned it from personal experiences with her, are putting their faith in this being the best path we can manage.

You're still banking on "hope" and "luck". And you're underestimating how dangerous her heart will likely be just because some who believe that they understand her will be present. It would not be any safer than confronting her directly because that is clearly not possible.

My feelings haven't changed. But that does not matter, does it?

Would you still believe so thoroughly in this idea if you were not the one going to carry it out?
