There once was a man who were so scared of death, he tried to catch death in a box. Now that man, he were powerful because of the way his world worked. What he said went, because everything's all tied together. They're part of the earth, tied like a baby what never had their cord cut. And from there, everything tied to them.
He could say a word, and everything changed to make it the truth. Weren't no better order... except there's some things with too many names to catch, too big to fit in their box.
So when Death stepped out, he tried to seal up that box so nothing could get in. Not her, not him. He thought, what a wonderful thin' I done! My people'll live forever, until the sun, she change her mind.
Cept people who don't die? They don't grow, they don't change... they just stop.
