It also makes you wonder who's really the one who put these games on the way we know them to be.

Trickster was the first one to hold a game, if what I saw was correct. As a tribute to Flowers. First blood. First death. First game. And that's when it started.

But only after days and days after what should have been a sanctuary became more of a prison, everything growing stranger and stranger. Priests went mad. The world above died...

We sustain these gods through our acts and our beliefs--the moment the blanks started to fear Trickster less, the more he lashed out against them, for instance. But what sustains an idea better than simply a system of belief or even existences confirmed by our own interaction with them? Something solid enough to last several cycles of these games.

An accident on the Oracle's part. Unless, of course, it was arranged by one of those gods...

They had thought it would be temporary, but then it seemed to get deeper and deeper. The Old Woman's wrath never abated. The Old Man hungered, they paid tributes. But to him and the gods.

You wanted to know the connection these games and events had to the Judges? They're our tributes, of course. Though we never realized it until what happened with Trickster and then Surgeon. But for some, they're not the sort of tributes that should be given. I think some of them have gone mad from it.

The first seems more her style, but wouldn't the latter be clever? That is assuming if those pieces like the ones they had us searching for can have that much influence on their owners. But haven't I always said? Information is precious currency in this place. After all, King destroys anything that might inform Blanks of the Truth of Sabra La Tau in a way that seems like a man possessed. More than just to repress and control the masses.

[pauses for a moment before saying in an almost mocking sing-song:] Sing to me oh Weaver Kolotha, oh Queen of the Gods, and Lady of Truth. Pull back the curtain on this brief life and let me see the holy pattern beyond. Let me fathom only the tiniest threads you weaves.

It could be anything, destruction, misuse, misinformation, manipulation. I'm sure you've noticed that neither of us are speaking out native languages... and yet if I think about it the words seem perfectly natural. Without it, it would take months to recreate a stable communication system...

It would throw off everything we and they do, the games, the system itself...

Of course... to change meanings too...

I have one piece more valuable the rest, I'd say it easily 'pays' for all of that... but for obvious reasons, I doubt I could act on, if I even wanted to.

	Going back to the languages... I did notice. I had to get a memory back to remember basic hiragana! And now it's like this language is my first instead of Japanese.
