[The inside of the house here is surprisingly intact. The front room holds an empty music stand and baton, sitting a distance in front of an overstuffed armchair. The upholstery is a deep, wine red and scattered with a random pattern of white butterflies.
At the far side of the room, a safe still remains, the metal standing the time well, a candleholder still setting above it, though what wax it held is long gone.
Ceramic masks on wire still hang on the wall, most with overstated expressions of mirth and empty eyesockets.]
