For the observant he's wearing the old uniform, and through the dirt and whatnot it's not hard to tell he's wearing Pavo's color. And then there's the hair - dirty, but still very big.

I won't heal if anything happens. But I don't get hungry like I used to, either.

A lot happened to Mirror, too. She got all her pieces back, but something's still wrong . . . instead of coming together whole, one side one out over the other. For a while, she did penalties for people who lost her games, like Surgeon used to . . . one of those penalties was for Pavo.

[Pulls back, crouching down in front of him and turning the back of hr hand up so he can see it. The mark there looks almost like a fresh burn . . . red, and shaped like a hammer hitting an anvil.]

Foreman is Pavo's patron. He helps us with materials, and lets us build things for other teams without being punished by Ophiuchus for sharing too much. And in return, we do things for him sometimes; like repairs, or when the East Block was flooding, we helped with the designs of these dorms.

There's disadvantages, too. There's enough of Pavo with Foreman now to be a whole second team, even if some . . . they're with him because he found them wandering away. And for some judges . . . Surgeon was Lepus's patron, and Mirror is Monoceros's, now . . . even if they're good to their own, the reputation is hard.
