[The Call that resounds from the Arena is loud, echoing to every part of Sabra—a regal crescendo of notes followed by anticipatory silence. Should you follow it today, the Arena is that strange darkened landscape again...

Simple darkness fills your vision, no delineation between up and down, walls or even the floor. You can only see the throne in the far off distance, and two pathways each covered with a lush carpet: one pink, the other a dark blue. One bears the sigil of the graceful swan, wings outspread and flying toward the path's end, while a hunting dog bounds down the second, intent on its target. Should you turn around, there is no exit yet, but there is a small table holing a punch bowl and several large party platters.

However, should you follow either of the pathways, the landscape begins to change...]

[As you follow the pink pathway, the surroundings begin to change and the air begins to fill with a delicate dance of strings and woodwinds, picking out and carrying a complex, soaring melody and counterpoint. It is a victory call, thoughtful and sure, gracefully climbing through minor chords and spinning its own thoughtful counterpoints.

The pink pathways ends in an open aired stone room, high in a mountain. There's a certain thin, crisp air around you, with notes of evergreens and leafy trees on the wind. Small shrubs line the edges of the room, carefully tended to and lush. In the center of the room is a long, polished darkwood table, surrounded by high backed chairs. Meals, both generous in portion and artfully arranged sit in plates and bowls, garnished by fragrant leaves and and set in simple patterns. Creamy soups, plates of vegetables, and the occasional plate of fruit to clean ones palate between, and dumplings (vegetarian, of course) sit within easy reach of any of the guests.

An ornate ceramic dessert dish sits in front of one place only at the very end of the table.

To the south there's a simple flower decorated door that you somehow get the impression that it leads... elsewhere.]

[As you follow the dark blue pathway, the surroundings begin to change and the air begins to fill with the tempo of drums. Not the deep rattle of modern percussion, but the fast, frantic beat of palms against stretched leather. Following its heady, headlong rhythm comes the rattle and scrape of instruments you can't quite place, and finally the deep call of a large horn, before the music folds into silence.

At the end of the pathway, a set of pneumatic doors hiss open easily, giving entrance to a sterile, clean officer's mess hall. The table and chairs seem moulded together, of an odd cool plastic, lightweight metal and glass. Soft lights blink from the panels set into the walls, and there's a faint thrum from all around you. An enormous window is set into one wall and outside of it... is the night sky, filled with stars. Many of them are slowly creeping past as if you were moving. Places have been set, simple clear glass plates and uniform glasses sit on the table with enough room for two teams... however are empty. At each end of the table are two replicators, set to food only, needing only a touch of a bracered hand to activate.

A single ornate dessert dish sits at the very middle of the table.
