We've been told to expect one more. But we should share what we've learned so far.

[nods] I'd rather learn the details about what's going on now.

It looks like we have a way to write it down, which will help. We've all been brought here to fulfill a wish, and our memories have been taken away until we earn them back.

Which we do through playing the games the Judges set up. I suppose that's straightforward enough.

I have fairly comprehensive notes written down already. If you'd like to read them later, please, feel free.

I'll do that, thank you. You seem fairly organized.

Organization and attention to detail are both key components in success. Besides, I find it enjoyable.

All right, you've probably gathered bits and pieces from talking to people outside. Do you have any immediate questions?

The games we have to take part in, do you know what they're like?

They're supposed to vary a lot. From things that are lighthearted and silly, to things that are confusing or upsetting, and sometimes things that are painful and- well, sometimes even fatal, or so I'm told. Judges bring people who die back to life after games like that, though.

If people are killing each other, how are they friendly outside of games? That's not the kind of thing that's easily forgotten...

Were in-game conflicts carried over, life outside would be intolerable. It's a survival mechanism, at least in part.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I guess maybe if everyone is doing it, they can't exactly place blame. I'm only going by secondhand word of mouth here, though.

It highly depends upon the nature of the Judge running it. It's possible to make educated guesses—for example, upon seeing the statue of the Judge known as "Persona", one can usually assume that the game will be invasive and likely dangerous.

We'll find out in time. But we should be prepared for anything.
