[Disturbances are handled well enough by the older twin.

This is just a soft clink, just a bit of motion as a cup of hot something is placed on the shelf beside him.]

Good morning, Red.

[The water inside looks green.]

We have no titles here. 'Vade' alone is fine.

Tea.

It's not poisoned.

[tiny sip]

Doesn't taste poisoned.

There are not many attempt who attempt to identify poisons by taste.

[Takes another book from the shelf, adding it to his pile.]

You may find this a better way.

Well, if you were to kill me, the best time would have been when I slept anyway.

[looks approvingly at the book though]

Thank you.

It is a book rarely opened. Most here learn such things by childhood.

We don't have a need where I'm from.

And we have no such need here.

Why then write it at all?

Because you write what is yours. Why write anything? I don't need to write things but I do anyway.

Not quite. This is Hydra; no words are put to paper here without purpose.

[Opens it to the last page, where a rather scathing dedication makes it clear that if the writer's grandson doesn't know everything in this book by the time Vulps would run him against raptors, her ghost will haunt her son for the rest of his days.]

She was ailing, and wished to ensure her heirs were well-taught.

As much as these books contain information, the stories of the books themselves often make up our history.

They are. But few who have come here would consider them interesting enough to forgo another few hours in the Dreamer's mysteries, especially when they were at the point of exhaustion just the night before.

...I like books. Books are what I'm good at. If its books, I can't be beaten.

And they feel like home to me. Even if they're different/ And even if there's no owls here.

There are some carvings on the Lorefather's shrine, if you find yourself feeling overly nostalgic.

When you're finished your tea and your books, you'll find it down the hall, above the catalogue.

If the libraries outside your lands are to be your passion, you should at least know their patron.

Every library is my passion. Cepheus' and Pavo's were both great.

I like yours too.

Then I will leave you to your explorations. Breakfast is in the same side room as dinner; head there when you're hungry.

You are also permitted to move the books nearer to one of the chairs, rather than reading on the floor.
