[Scattered around the roof of Hydra are several crude tools made of bone, leather and stone and a few papers with rather technical designs on it. Claude's handiwork, for any staring at them, might be recognizable and lays largely untouched, however, in the margins, on the back, on several adjoining sheets are designs on implementing THOSE plans. Equations, materials, notes on experiments and results... all scattered throughout the pages in several handwritings and more than one language.

This obviously hasn't been an overnight project, nor anywhere near completed either...

However, what may have grabbed your attention is the groan of wood as they crank back the catapult for another test.]

... That might be the limit.. adjust the tension or just wait until we can really mess with the angle?

[and much like he saw, he kicks off the catapult at the top of it's arc and UP HE GOES~

it's not nearly as graceful as the sharks' jump, but he's twisting into a better position to get better speed rather than height, and also to avoid those sharp, pointy rocks that can only end in pain.

He twists again right at the apex of his jump, and this time it's far less stupid boy jumping off a catapult and more seasoned storm rider getting as much air as he can before he starts to drop.
