Mm.

[Outer casing, water seal, gyroscopic stabilizer, air cushion support . . .

. . . and there, deep in the wheel, a grinning death's head gear where the braking system should be.]

Agito, this . . .

That's him all right.

[Leans back, a slow, wide grin dawning.]

The Bloody Road Regalia.

[Touches the side of the wheel.]

It . . . really is.

H.. it's not usable... Fuck, if I even got enough power to it, with A-T like this I'd wreck it and probably his body too.

... But it's there.

[Loosens a few more pieces, taking stock of the rest.]

. . . poor thing. Parts like these . . .

It'll manage.

[Watching pretty damn closely anyway.]

[Carefully reroutes the power feed, calibrating for his slightly uneven balance as she goes.]

. . . for now, it's best . . . if it sleeps. This resistor . . . it can dampen the response unless your power is at max.

. . . once you override it, the rest won't hold. Recoil from the brake lock . . . it's too much. If . . . see the holding pins? We can direct it there, but . . .

Even if the other parts can be reused, they'll be in pieces before your wheels touch the ground.

So you're saying, if I ever use it as it is, make damn sure it's worth it.

One shot. And in that . . . three seconds until the motor burns out.

... Best case scenario at that.

[It's a long moment, staring at the parts surrounding the grinning break and release system.]

Yeah, no change of plans, lets see what we can do with the rest of the A-T.

[Nods, and . . . that breath of a sigh might almost have been a quiet 'I'm sorry' as she tweaks the last relay, cutting all but basic functioning from the regalia.]

The rest . . . for beginner A-T, it's not so bad.

It's just that a beginner A-T is fucking horrible...

How much is safe to route from the lateral engines and put into the air cushion system? At this point, I don't give a shit about top running speed, there's no fucking straightaways around here.

[info]roadtothesky

Probably . . . about 22%. And if you cut the speed . . . we can increase the sensitivity of the rear stabilizers by switching these gears, here. That way, even if the output is lower, the cornering momentum . . . you can use that to compensate.

Ah... so more like that... I thought tighter would work...

If they were Agito's A-T . . . mm. Tighter would be good. But . . . feel this here? The diameter of that part . . . it's half a millimetre too wide. When it expands, as you run . . . that tightens too.

A bit more loose, and it won't grind so much, when they accelerate.
