[So apparently Soujirou's reaction to Shiki dying is running away 8|. And Shiki is in some kind of COMA THING 8|. And my vampire got turned to dust again and had to revive from that 8|. And Link missed all of this because he was taking too much time to recover from hiatus adventures 8|.

This calls for a dorm vigil I guess. Link hasn't left Delphinus since he found out what happened to Shiki, ignoring things like magical leaving parties.]

*well, the rune isn't really giving you a choice in this matter, at least, so that answers part of the question. In any case, if you watch, you might see the image of the rune appearing on your right hand. And with the rune comes its power... and everything else. A sentience, inhuman, ancient, and powerful, the very embodiment of lightning. Though quiet now, but like the quiet that comes after a violent storm.

And with it comes thoughts. Visions. Brief glimpses of memories all swirled together....*

	Not as much as he does, obviously. I can perceive it -- it's, um, not very subtle if you're a mage -- and I asked a little. It has a will and mind of its own, and it experiences whatever you do.
