[--And he's not quite fast enough to counter-break when he was already in break position. Masamune's sword goes right through River's shoulder and out his back. His own sword didn't get up enough to stop it, but he DID get it between them, pressed against Masamune's chest lengthwise. He bares his teeth, and instead of pulling back, drags his blade down and across as fast as he can]

	grins fiercely as his strike goes home, but that only lasts a moment before the blade of River's sword rips down the length of his torso. He reflexively yanks his own sword back and free as he takes a staggering step or two backwards from the blow (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I'll take your word for it. Don't think I'm being completely altruistic; some of your teammates might take it amiss if we leave you to die, and I can find a healer pretty easily. But it's also good that Masamune has someone to play with. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
