Placing the pack back in her back pocket, Kasper lit her cigarette then held it out towards him, flame still lit. "Just like livin' in the hood," she joked. Not that she ever knew what that was like exactly, though she had spent some time drifting around different sketchy neighborhoods. She knew enough to get her point across.
"Didn't take long for someone to expire, either," she added, thinking back about Caroline. It wasn't the her being dead part that disturbed her, it was the seven day length of time it only took for her to end up sprawled on the ground with no life in her.
