This time, however, everything feels different. The year is 1998, and the last time they saw their school a battle was taking place: the great Battle of Hogwarts that saw Voldemort fall and where so many others, family and friends alike, also lost their lives. The wizarding world might be in ruins, but it's nothing compared to the school and to the students that survived. How will the recent events affect them? Will they find absolution for what they did? Absolution is a post-DH game, starting August 1998. It focuses on the rebuilding of the wizarding world through the eyes of the students of Hogwarts and how they deal with the rebuilding of their school and the memories of what happened the previous year. Muggleborns try to return to the lives they had a year before. The children of Voldemort's supporters try to deal with the new stigma that befell them. Those who fought at the Battle try to cope with what they experienced. And everyone tries to mourn their losses and move forward. who will you be? Pax Letale: a modern myth game [18 Dec 2011|07:49pm] PAX LETALE: GODS REBORN In Southern California, there recently opened a new luxury apartment building. Impeccably designed, impossibly convenient, ideally located, Pax Letale is the sort of residential Shangri La where Southern Californians spend all manner of favors and years trying to secure a spot. But Pax doesn't have a waiting list, nor can a place there be bought or sold. The people who find their way to Pax Letale belong there. Every tenant of Pax is a reincarnated deity, some of whose worshipers are by and large long dead. Once very real, these gods began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. Reborn as mortals, their essences remain, waiting to be awakened. Somehow, sometimes one by one, sometimes in groups or pairs, these creatures of destiny have discovered Pax, and have not been able to resist its pull. For at Pax Letale, the awakening has begun. As these gods rediscover themselves and each other, the seemingly invisible but ubiquitous management tracks each of them quite closely, and the very building itself seems to have an agenda of its own. And as the gods made humans in their own image - or humans made them in theirs - so will the the behavior of the people of Pax turn as dark as their myths. Blood, strife, sex, petty plots, torture - even murder will wind their ways into Pax Letale. A lovely place. A peculiar place. A dangerous place. Available Tenants: Enki is the Babylonian god of water, crafts, intelligence and creation. Twin of and best friend of Ereshkigal, goddess of the Underworld, he is often seen as a positive foil to his brother Enlil, utilizing his magic and cunning for the good of others; he brings aid to deities and humans alike, serving as a rare masculine nuturer in a chaotic and often oppressively patriarchal pantheon. He will likely have connections to Tiamat, Ereshkigal, and other Sumero-Babylonian deities. Frigg is considered the queen of the Norse pantheon. She is associated with married women, childbirth, and on occasion, unrevealed prophecy. Her human counterpart may have interactions with the whole of the Norse pantheon, but most closely with her husband Odin, her sons Baldr and Höðr, and with Loki, who orchestrated Baldr's death. Spider Grandmother is a creator goddess present in the pantheons of several Native American tribes. Legend says she sang humanity into being, and created the stars from a web laced with dew. Her human host may have connections to other members of the Native American pantheons, as well as to other deities of creation or growth. The space race has begun, the civil rights movement is just beginning, Andy Warhol is ushering in a time of art and philosophy for the next generation. It's not just minorities, and women fighting to be accepted, there are mutants as well. Most hidden, some making their presence known in the most destructive of ways. The government has had to step in, hoping that forming their own team of heroes it will help calm public opinion. The X Men and Excalibur are hardly more than a rumor. Secret teams that have shown up and disappeared with the same mystery. The Brotherhood, on the other hand, is very well known, but hard to find. Destiny is so much more than a word, it's something to work for, to fight for, to grab with both hands. The world is moving forward, you can either move with it, or be left behind. We are a Marvel based game that allows members to play their favorite characters, original and canon, and play in a time period wrought with conflict, history, and plenty of drama! Population: last recorded at just over 2,500. The outbreak has ravaged the city for six years now. The infected population now outnumbers the human population 10:1. Every day feels like a losing battle. People still fight. There are still pockets of resistance; folks who have been determined to be immune to the virus, people who aren't immune but have things to offer and people who know that it's best for them to run and hide. Those people are too strong to die, too brave to give in. For those brave enough to fight, just living day to day is occasionally a struggle. They're fighting to a government who looks out for their own survival before the survival of the remaining citizens. Even the strongest people break every day. But a rebellion is coming.
