The Hellfire Club is a social club on the east side of Mutant Town, but it is also the name of a gang of higher class mutants. The Hellfire Club is more sophisticated, they know that money talks and that stealing and pilfering can't always pay the bills. The Hellfire Club owns several establishments, but also cut deals under the table as well. Their goal is to control Mutant Town economically, and that eventually includes the gangs as well.
