In the lush surrounds of Ridgeway valley we make your dreams come true! Come down to Ridgeway Resort, where you can see all your favorite characters in person! And go home feeling all warm and fuzzy inside with memories that will last a life time. -------------------------------------------- Ridgeway Resort is a multi-fandom RPG, or panfandom if you will, that brings original characters together with canon characters. If you wish to have an OC it may be a guest or an employee, though if they are an employee they must have a fandom from which they originated. OC guests can only stay a few months before they must depart back to their home. Ridgeway is a pricey joint, having all these fictional characters on the payroll is expensive, and would cause even Scrooge McDuck to go bankrupt if he were to stay for too long! The only restrictions we have on the OCs are the play-bys for the guests. If there is someone playing a character(s) that is using a specific PB you may not choose that one. We can't have the original character guests looking like the canon characters, when it's the point of the resort for the guests to travel to the resort to see their favorite fictional characters. That would be a little too odd. Not that we don't welcome weird moments, we love those! But that would be just a little to much on some fragile psyches. If you enjoy the experience and want to become a permanent part of our happy little resort, you're welcome to apply for one of the cannon characters that are not taken, or take a swing at making an original character from a fandom. Any fandoms are welcome, we simply ask for a fleshy play-by rather than a cartoon or 3D one-to keep the players around you comfortable. Under New Management! post comment

Those creatures thought to be myth, legend, something out of horror movies, novels. Now were proclaiming their existence, and thanks to their own advances in medicine, were demanding fair and equal treatment as citizens of the world. The world, was changed, and it wasn't about to stop any time soon. Within the last three years, the world has seen vampires as citizens, a shifter vaccine for those were creatures still hidden among us, passing as humans, the legalization of raising zombies, new police forces to deal with new crimes and new kinds of criminals. No place is immune to this new world, its eyes forced open to the supernatural going on around it. New churches that can promise eternity with a bite, new protests over the dead not staying dead, new prejudices continuing the age old tradition of Us vs. Them. Here in the city of Refrain, it is no different. You can choose to accept and find your place in this new world, dealing with those things most were happy to turn a blind eye to, ignoring those eyes staring at you from the dark of night. Windows have been blown out, rooms are destroyed, the front yard is full of bullet holes, the left wing on the first floor has been marked by fire, and on the roof remains pieces of...well, we're not sure, but it used to be alive. The Attack. It happened in the middle of the night. No one knew it was coming, and no one was prepared for what they would face. Humans and mutants full of self-hate on a suicide mission. After a night like this, something tells me there won't be school for awhile. The Fallout. Dead bodies are everywhere and their beloved safe haven has been destroyed. It's time to decide who you can trust, and who to ally yourself with. Not everyone is as evil as they seem, and not every smile has good intentions behind it. The Reason. It's been seven years since "The Cure" was invented and now, it's starting to wear off. Former mutants who thought they could have a normal life are experiencing a massive influx of power, sometimes rendering them uncontrollable. Some of these mutants hate themselves so much that they think the world would be better off without them. All of them. The Future. With Magneto building up his Brotherhood once more, the mansion destroyed, and Ororo at the helm of Xavier's, everyone is on the brink of something. Is it war? [31 Jan 2011|09:00pm] Riverview Psychiatric Center riverview_mod ---------------------------------------------------------- The Riverview Psychiatric Center, in collaboration with the community, is a center for best practice, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Riverview Psychiatric Center is located in Augusta, Maine. It is a hospital for patients over the age of eighteen. It is a permanent home to some patients. For other patients, it is their own prison. The Center is capable of treating many different types of disorders. From anorexia nervosa to schizophrenia. Each patient is assigned their own doctor who specializes in the right kind of treatment and therapy needed. Few of the doctors lack the patience needed to help the patients at Riverview, but they do their best. While the surrounding communities view the Center as helpful, the patients know what really happens there. The main building is new, rebuilt in the 1980s, the other buildings are older, with plenty of forgotten tunnels and a basement that was once used for storage. The patients who are able to wander, have traveled to these forgotten parts and some take full advantage of the privacy found there. Though the doctors can't be bothered, most of the nurses and security know about the secrets hiding beneath the buildings. There are some staff members of Riverview, who cater to the needs of the patients, in exchange for favors. Money. Sex. Drugs.
