Hey there! boston_mafia is a mafia RPG based in Boston, MA (name kind of says it all). The community focuses on the war that is happening between three main families (Irish, Italian and Russian). Some are allies, some are enemies. They all have their differences and all want full control of Boston and the surrounding cities.
We welcome original characters! We're in desperate need of more law enforcement, FBI, state troopers, cops. Dirty cops are welcome, too!
We're getting close to hitting our first year of being open and we're trying out some new things to keep everyone involved. Check us out! Adds are normally done Wednesdays and Saturdays, but on occasion they're done as applications come in!
We have just set up a German family and will start accepting characters when we get four applications for that family.

WELCOME TO THE TRUE GAME. The lands of the Sapphire Domain are quite nearly legendary. When wars - or games as they're called - rage all around, these lands have managed to survive and even flourish. When games were lost, rulers of the domain would rebuild. Rarely has a poor ruler come into power, and many other domain rulers long for the power of the Sapphire Domain.
The Sapphire Domain, currently ruled by King Willem, has been unscathed by games for the last ten years. Some say he's the most intelligent, tactical and all around best ruler the Sapphire Domain has ever had. Others wonder just what powers he holds that have kept him and his contingency from ever losing a battle. Whispers abound: is he hiding something? Is there a greater power than his? But the real question is, how much longer can his winning streak last?

Hogwarts, meet the Ministry.
With the latest orders from the Ministry, the structure of the Prefect system at Hogwarts was the first change: Prefects have been paired by year and house, forming a team which cannot assign detentions or take house points without consulting one another. It was from this new policy that the Inquisitorial Squad was reborn: a student-run club designed to train interested students in Ministry issues and conflict resolution. At Hogwarts, things are orderly, organized, and above all, fair - or are they?
Prefects are finding new ways to abuse their powers and control others. Students retaliate in their own ways, bringing personal issues before the Inquisitorial Squad, treating it more like a Hogwarts' version of the Wizengamot than a wizarding Model UN club. A secret society runs amok in the student underground, their activities and intentions mysterious and seemingly neutral -- for now.
In a socially revolutionary game, the members of Absit Invidia invite you to join the new generation of wizards and witches as they return to Hogwarts, the war of their parents forgotten. Their new challenge? The battles of everyday life as a young magician; struggling to make friendships, remember charms and pass classes in the face of adjusted policies and countless possibilities.
Opens December 1st! |

| It's 2005, and the New Year has started off with a bang. There's a new group making itself known in the Wizaring World, sowing a new wave of fear and mistrust, opening up old wounds from a war everyone had hoped was over. The targets span all classes and levels of blood, Death Eaters, Ministry workers, and citizens alike.
They couldn't come at a worse time. A bear market and a pushy Prime Minister already has Wizarding England on edge. Advances in muggle technology threaten wizards as more and more of them are caught on camera. The wisdom of the Statute of Secrecy is being called to question for the first time in centuries.
Still, things aren't as bad as they could be. Suspicions run high, but the body count is still low. Innocents aren't being killed. Yet. Many in the country believe the Ministry's assurances and try to live peaceful lives as best they can. They don't realize how rapidly their chances for peace are disappearing... | |

| The 8th Floor is a DH-compliant, post-war game that aims to take a look at the interplay between the magical and muggle worlds and the myriad of problems something like the Statute of Secrecy could cause. We plan to meld plot, politics, and social aspects into an intense gaming experience. | |

The Crescent City Institute of Magic has a long history of educating the best and brightest Witches and Wizards in the United States. Located on the grounds of an old plantation near New Orleans, CCI has a culture shaped both by its students and faculty, as well as by the close proximity of New Orleans itself.
CCI has been through changes in recent years. Hurricane Katrina hit the school hard, as it did all of the region. Many upperclassmen will remember the previous headmaster’s tragic death during the storm as he tried to help evacuate the school.
As the new school year begins, more changes are in store. Adversaries old and new are drawn to New Orleans like moths to a flame, and strange…things…abound. One thing is for certain: this year, petty high school drama will be the least of anyone’s concerns…
