Breaking Point [20 Jun 2010|01:55pm] Breaking Point The RPG MODS RPG OOC Directory Plot & Premise Cast & Available Rules Apply Game Canon The Premise In the Summer of 2024, a pack of werewolves started terrorising the country, turning young children and brutally killing their parents. A month later the dead started returning to life. Voldemort was among the first to arrive. By spring 2025, Voldemort and the werewolves had joined forces; Hogwarts, Azkaban and Diagon Alley had been attacked, but Ministry and Order were still standing strong, forcing Voldemort to live in hiding. On June 18, 2025, everything changed! Voldemort launched an attack on the wizarding world, hitting King's Cross, the Hogwarts Express and the Ministry. While the forces of good spread out to protect the population, Voldemort took over the Ministry – and with it the Wizarding society. The Order and their allies fled to Hogwarts, where Headmaster Severus Snape shielded the school, making it impossible for Voldemort to gain entrance. From there, the Order launched its resistance. For the rest of the population, it’s comply or be killed, but under the surface, people are trying to find a way to manoeuvre outside the new laws and restrictions. In the meantime an unknown, yet undetected, spell is spreading amongst the Wizarding population, Death Eaters, Order and neutral alike. August brings the first day of these graduates’ internships. These questions and more are reeling around their minds as they await their first days of work. However, the most important question of all is absent: The results of Lord Voldemort’s presence can be felt everywhere, from the mysterious seclusion of some classmates post-graduation, to the slew of fervent elopements that erupted in its wake. Outside the secure walls of Hogwarts, the disappearances of Daily Prophet reporters, inexplicable deaths of Ministry of Magic employees, and the growing St. Mungo’s psych ward are becoming a bit more real. The class of ’78 doesn’t live in a safe haven anymore. Meals aren’t served promptly, laundry isn’t folded and returned to wardrobes, and no one is checking to see if everyone gets home safely. This is the first time that most of these graduates will live on their own, and they couldn’t be more vulnerable. Any suggested plot lines?: There is a TON of stuff to do with Luke since his life involves so much drama right now. He just ran away from home, so there'd be some immediate character development there. Also, at some point I'd like him to find out he's adopted. The city of Avalonis was once dubbed the superpowered capital of the world and even today the city is filled with people who can do the most extraordinary things. Some can move things with their mind, others can read them and then there are some who have no powers at all but insist on fighting for justice nonetheless. As when you have a city filled with heroes, villains will follow and now the city is host to some of the most spectacular and epic show downs the world has ever seen. Beneath the shiny exterior of the city and the side that the tourists come to see in the hope of catching a glimpse of the city's famous heroes and villains is a layer of corruption. The Irish mob and Italian mafia control parts of the city, pushing prostitution and drugs onto the streets of Avalonis. If there's something you crave then there's always a way to get it, no matter how sordid your tastes. There's a reason why the city needs heroes. Avalonis Police Department is rife with corruption. The internal struggle within the department is probably why they have yet to pay full attention to the recent disappearances of young superpowered individuals, but how long can these disappearances remain unnoticed and who knows more than they're letting on? Unbeknownst to many of them, God and Satan have been at war with each other forever. Finally feeling fed-up with the other one (or perhaps for entertainment purporses), God and Satan agreed to create one final world for the game to end all games. They each chose a representative. Metatron, chosen by God; Lucifer, chosen by Satan; both of them were sent to find players for the game. With many different worlds, universes, and realms; neither Metatron or Lucifer had a hard time finding people for the game. Some of them jumped at the chance to be heroes; others just wanted a better life; a few of them relished in the idea of being destroyers; while still others were pulled into the game by no choice of their own. Every player has their reason for being in Chaos Unraveled. As time passes, people come and people go; and once more, Lucifer and now Jophiel are searching for players.
