Framing Hanley! [31 Dec 2009|01:49pm] Firstly, happy New Year everyone(: Character I will be playing: Kenneth Nixon (you can't say no to that face!<3) Character Wanted: The rest of the Framing Hanley boys! (in no particular order) -> Ryan Belcher, Chris Vest, Luke McDuffee, Brandon Wootten and I would give you my first born if you brought in Nixon's amazin' karaoke buddy Adam. Storyline: Nixon just got there, so it'd be awesome if the FH boys came so they could be friends. Adam? Definitely want some background, best friends back home and when Nixon leaves Adam has to tag along. The FH guys, either they can just meet there or know each other from back home - we can discuss that. I'm flexible! If you want a romance line (would love a Ryan), we can think of an interesting line or just go with the flow. Though, if we want a relationship line and they don't click... Boys can fly and live as children forever, girls can be rescued from their evil step-mothers and whisked away to castles in pumpkin coaches; the world is an endless stretch of possibility set against a backdrop of inherent freedom. It is only a fiction. The world eventually reveals itself to be an unkind place, the villains not easily defeated, no fairy godmother to come to the rescue. The loss of innocence is taken in stride by some, and those fortunate masses go on to become grown-ups, to live out their lives in some boring profession or another, to forget magic after passing it along to their own children. But what of those who grow older without growing up? What if Alice witnessed something so terrifying that she never wanted to leave Wonderland? What if Belle's beast was so cunning and so cruel that she could not bear to part from him, his murder of her father aside? For all of those who fell through the cracks, for the most unique and the least privileged, the untouchable and the uncared for, for the most heartbreaking and horrifying, there exists a refuge. Background Taken and Held Rules Apply Credit World’s End is a panfandom game focusing on the survivors of destroyed worlds, and what they choose to do afterward. Some try to eek out a new existence at “The World’s End,” a world many of the displaced arrived at after the destruction of their home world. Others seek to combat what is commonly called “the darkness,” the eater of worlds, and prevent it from corrupting and destroying even more worlds. Some study “The Door” at The World’s End, and the machinery left behind by Ansem the Wise, hoping to gain information that may allow them to restore the lost worlds and those who lived there. The outlook is bleak, and oblivion waits just outside the door, but they aren’t called “survivors” for no reason, and there may be a way to fix this yet. [31 Dec 2009|04:14pm] Stopgap: 1. something that fills the place of something else that is lacking; temporary substitute; makeshift: Candles are a stopgap when the electricity fails. stopgap! is a Harry Potter based random-play community. Unlike other role-playing games this community is structured to allow for short-term character exploration. Players who are interested in participating volunteer for a slot on the character roster. The moderator's then assign a character (preferably one the player has never played before) and players are then responsible for bringing the newly birthed muse to life. Game play per-genre (trio era, maurauder, future gen) lasts approximately two months. At the end of the two month run we switch to a new cast and game premise. Players have the freedom to take their now fitted characters to an alternative game and/or continuing storylines in private-storyline form. In theory this rpg is structured to allow for creative writing. It also encourages a place where people can try on new muses without fear of being judged.
