[22 May 2009|02:32am] From dusk till dawn the Island is an adult pleasure complex, a playground that caters to all walks of life, both mortal and immortal. Located off the coast of Southern Florida and offering five dazzling glass stories of theaters, restaurants, shops and casinos, the Island of Angels has become a mecca for tourism and millionaire playboys. Music plays eternally in the halls and on the dance floors and famous musicians are enticed from all over the world to perform in the bars, club and theaters. All of this surrounds what appears be the focal point, a large jungle that hosts to all manner of exotic birds and plant life. On the Island you can buy anything from leather to lace, rare diamonds and records, food from every country and a plethora of anything from chintz to chotskies. A mixture of old and new combined with luxuriant scents and extravagant dining. The residents of the Island consist of recluse and private Millionaires to the average income workers and owners of the shops. All of which find pleasing accommodations in The Island of Angel’s Palazzo. Peace and tranquility can be found in your own private suite or apartment, located adjacent to the bustling night life of the miniature city but beware what lurks in the shadows at night... What if the Salem Witches' Institute mentioned in Harry Potter happens to be the very same Magic School that has a door directly into the Halliwell Manor? Perhaps centuries ago the Ministry of Magic orchestrated a separation of Church and State that excluded the Elders and WhiteLighters from interfering with European witchcraft. But their reach did not extend to the American colonies where true magic was stifled and only brought into the light in recent generations thanks to the tireless work of WhiteLighters. Charing Cross: Post-DH RPG [22 May 2009|01:35pm] Diagon Alley – May 2003 It's 2003 and the Wizarding World has come a long way since the Final Battle. Death Eaters have been tried and dealt with fairly under the watchful eye of the new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and a reformed Wizengamot. Diagon Alley and Hogwarts have been rebuilt. Slowly the magical community has rebuilt and healed from the destruction of Voldemort's reign. Most characters make their home within Diagon Alley as new flats and residences have opened their doors. Charing Cross is a unique game where each month a new plot is presented for the characters. Much like real life the characters must react to current events as well as manage their personal relationships. Our hope is that through these small, short-lived plots players will take the opportunity to develop their characters and relationships with other players. We also encourage small group plots, such as book clubs, bowling leagues and writer's circles among many others, and have an on-going prompt list to help out with threading ideas!
