Premise | A-Levels/Clubs | Wanted List

The year was 2007. Lancaster College, a private school for A-Level students in Oxford, began having a problem with their students. Many were failing their exams, deciding they didn't have the time or motivation to focus on their courses and studies. Parties began happening every night, teachers lost control, and the students began cutting, being disrespectful, and violent. The needle that broke the camel's back, however, was the library fire. It's still debated whether it was an act of violence, or if someone just left a cigarette burning, because practically everything in it was destroyed, but something had to be done, but what?

It was the Headmaster who decided that it might be best for everyone if the students began boarding at school. It would give the professors a better idea what the students were like, allowing them to focus and improve on their classroom tactics. If they were able to approach the subjects in a way that the students could grasp, then the students would surely benefit.

So, the school was closed down that December, and the Headmaster called in construction crews to build another building- a four story dorm. After several months, Mullen Hall, Lancaster College's newest addition, was ready for use. A few students weren't exactly happy with the idea of a sixth form boarding school. To them, it severly limited freedom. But to most, it gave a good idea what University would be like. So a handful of teens signed up.

It is now 2008 and the new school year is just beginning. Will the Headmaster's idea prove successful? Will the students finally buckle down and learn or will they continue to fail their A-levels?

o1. Nolanverse post-TDK Batman Group PSL.

Gotham's White Knight kept his promise of giving Gotham eighteen months of clean streets, but the sands of time are running out on that legacy. As though on cue, the Joker has just escaped Arkham with the help of his lovely assistant Dr. Harleen Quinzel, releasing some very dangerous and some not so lethal patients into the streets in the process.

Harvey, pronounced dead on scene in a brave attempt to stop Batman on his vengeful rampage, remains very much alive (story up for negotiation), as is Rachel who was rescued at the last minute and held in forcible confinement by one of the Joker's followers who developed an obsessive attachment to her.

Our first story arc is entitled The Killing Joke and focuses on the escape of the Joker and its immediate aftermath, as well as the revelation of both Harvey and Rachel's survival. Second story arc to be determined as game progresses.

The cast list is HERE. Any character not on the list are welcome to join. No applications required, but multiple paragraph responses are very much the norm and expected. Simply create a separate journal for your character and request to join [info]theknightfall, [info]knightfallooc and [info]knightmares. Please don't hesitate to contact any of us on AIM to discuss storylines beforehand. We desperately need our Harvey filled!

o2. DCverse Gotham City game, set in present day.

"Okay, lets say that Batman is chugging along, doing his thing. He's defending Gotham from all the villains, putting them away in Arkham (some people, multiple times - pesky buggers don't want to stay in!). It's all going all right, for now. There don't seem to be any serious brewings going on. You'd think Batman's life would be getting easier, right?

Wrong. New villains are popping out of the woodwork every day, weirder ones (like the Polka dot guy, what is that??), and a few of them with actual influence. Rumors of a lady who has a thing for plants, some comedian with a freaky big grin, this other guy who really likes penguins.

And worse. In the post 9/11 world, the government has been cracking down on everyone. Even Batman. Terrorism is a new scary threat, and who can be sure this guy in a bat suit isn't some new form of insurgent? Cops who normally would have given him a nod and a wave are now giving him the evil eye, wondering if and when he's going to go berserk. Even the President has spoken out against his type - these vigilantes who don't conform to the law. The Patriot Act has only encouraged the government to look into and track "heroes".

Not only is the government interested in the innerworkings of the Bat and his buddies, but in a world of complete and total media coverage, it's hard for him to get away from the paparazzi. Photos of Batman sell for thousands. In a fight? Much much more. The public got a taste of Batman and want more - they want to know everything, even his secret identity. Especially his secret identity.

That's not all. Gas prices are up (back in storage, batmobile!), housing market is down (hope that manor is paid off!), the world is getting hotter by the minute. Somethings, not even Batman can fix.

The year is 2008, and it's modern times."

The mod journal is [info]entente, where everything you need to know is located, including an ultra handy timeline of everything that transpired in the game to date. Bruce and Harvey would particularly love to see Rachel being played!

rebirthing: an au breaking dawn role play

We're filled in a world of vast possibilities, chances and opportunities. Some we shun against our better judgment and instinct, others we are advised not to take but in spite of this warning, do it anyway.

The smallest of decisions can warp your entire perspective, your entire surroundings. Every choice offers an alternative. We ask ourselves the littlest of things, but those so-called 'little things' could have results of mind boggling proportions. What if you steered in the other direction? What if you wore sandals instead of tennis shoes?

What if doubt had crept into Bella's mind, leading her down the dilapidated road she hadn't so much as glanced twice at? ...more...
