It's a city known for its culture and long history; a city where people of all sorts come together and live in (relative) peace. But where there's people, there's crime, and San Fransisco is not without its criminals. Rapists, murderers, gang members -- a colourful jamboree of sin clumped together. Police officers and inspectors are constantly working, always on the move to put the criminals behind bars. And while this may seem like any other large city in any other state, San Fransisco carries with it a secret that, should it ever be revealed to the world, could corrupt the balance of the world as we know it. Three sisters live in the suburbs of San Fransisco, nestled in a seemingly normal home just like any other house on the block. Everything appears normal on the inside and out -- they live like any other three sisters who remain close to one another into their adult lives. The oldest is the owner of a club, a mother and former chef who is well-known throughout the city for her exquisite cooking skills. The middle sister is a local celebrity, famous for her advice column for the Bay Mirror. And the youngest is a former social worker, though currently unemployed. Nothing about their situation seems out of the ordinary to anyone who's just passing by. But these girls are not what they appear to be. The attic of their seemingly normal home harbours an ancient book filled with spells and information on creatures not of our everyday world. Demons and warlocks, fairies and wizards, potions and enchantments -- everything that one might normally find inside a fantasy story. And not only that -- the girls are actually the prophesized Charmed Ones, the three sisters who will protect the world from horrors that threaten our very existence. They fight for the sake of humanity on a nearly everyday basis with incredible powers. Yet even though they are the ones who will eventually lead the world into an era of peace, no one could have expected events to take a turn for the worst. When they face a creature from another dimension, they did not anticipate a rip in the fabrics of reality. At first, it seemed like any other mission to save the universe from folding in on itself, something they had dealt with before. But when a threat greater than they could ever imagine escapes from his own world and sees potential in the planet he's found himself in, the Elders know the girls cannot defeat him on their own and begin to bring in support for the Charmed Ones -- heroes from other worlds. There's always a flaw in the grand design, though, and the leaders of the Underworld take the opportunity to pull some 'heroes' of their own from other worlds... And that's when the battle begins -- the Charmed Ones and the support the Elders have provided them must work together in order to put an end to their mutual enemy. St. Dymphna Academy [28 Feb 2008|07:16pm] Plot | Rules | Academic Programs/Clubs/Teams | Application St. Dymphna Academy is a private college in Clogher, Ireland, providing a great opportunity for students, offering full scholarships and top-of-the-line education. It was built in 1813-1816, and renovated later, in the late 1800’s. Closed in 1823, but later reopened as a college, in 1887. The college, which was once an abbey was once the scene of a horrific murder and suicide, which led to the abbey being closed down. 60 years later, when the memory of the murder had vanished, the abbey was re-opened. But never again would it be used as a nunnery. It was opened as a school. The wing where the murder took place was still closed off, remaining untouched since the actual occurrence. When the school was re-opened, strange things started to happen again. Faint whispers and strange shadows could be seen, but the students generally brushed it off. St. Dymphna Academy is an original character, anything goes Role Play. It is both het and slash friendly. Players must be atleast 18 years of age as there will be adult content. To the east are Galla, Tusaine, and Tyra, and past them are Maren and Sarain. Carthak is south of Tortall across the Inland Sea, while to the west lie the Yamani Islands and the Copper Isles. In the year 437, Alanna of Trebond, the Lioness, became the first female knight in over a century. Since then, she has fought many battles, won against numerous enemies, and become a legend in her own time. Several tales are formed around her; she is often portrayed as being between six and ten feet tall, bearded and muscular and a true warrior for all to fear.
