REBUILDING is a player-driven RPG beginning in the fall of 1998. It includes players from the books, movies, and video games, but its facts are based on the books up until (but not including) the Epilogue.

The Wizarding World of the British Isles is reeling in the aftermath of the Second War. Homes and lives were destroyed, all in the name of one man's quest for power. Now it is time to rebuild. To rise from the ashes of fear and doubt and death. Both the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have been under construction over the summer. A new Minister has been elected and upon taking up his post in July, has begun a campaign for hope. Hogwarts has a long way to go to reach its former glory, but its doors are once again open. Students have received letters over the last month informing them of the impending school year, which will begin later than usual.

The idea has been done before, you say? Well, yes, perhaps. We hope, however, to put a slightly new spin on the reconstruction process. Students who were seventh years during the war will be welcomed back to complete their studies, though returning is certainly optional. New professors have been and will be hired to foster better education. The Ministry is open for new blood within its ranks and Quidditch will be bigger than ever. We have a massive character list, unlimited professional opportunities, and mods who have been writing together for seven years.

REBUILDING is primarly a writing community. If your intention is solely to play out romantic relationships, then there are plenty of other games out there for you. We're looking for players who enjoy developing characters and developing themselves as creative writers. The direction of plot will be decided upon by the community at large, though the moderators will periodically provide reactionary events, important news articles, and thread challenges. We'd also like players who will stick around for the long haul. We want this game to last.

WANTED: Boys! Specifically straight ones, since we're trying to stick close to cannon. We also need more adults, more students, and Death Eaters. Harry and Ron would like a Ginny, and I'm sure Charlie and Bill would like the rest of their siblings! There are tons more characters available, and with a highly active cast, you'll always have interaction!
