J U D I C I U M
Judicium is entering its sixth month and we have 19 players and almost 80 characters, which means that our initial premise can't hope to cover all that this game is anymore. Last year, Rodolphus Lestrange found out that his dead wife, Bellatrix, had an affair with their boss, Lord Voldemort, and had his love child. After Bellatrix's death and Voldemort's demise, Narcissa took the child to St Mungo's and left her to be adopted with no identifying information.
Harry Potter and the Order discovered Lestrange's search for this child, who is now around 27 years old, and both groups have been battling to find her first and sway her over to their side.
While this has been going on, Kingsley Shacklebolt decided to retire as Minister for Magic and implemented a Muggle election process. On January 29th, Nicholas Urqhart was voted in as Minister and took over the role from Kingsley.
Some shops in Hogsmeade exploded in January, and in February some shops in Godric's Hollow exploded. March seemed quiet in contrast, but April has started with a bang with the death of an Auror's girlfriend and a threat against all Auror loved ones.
The explosion in Hogsmeade was caused by a rogue group of Death Eaters who were growing impatient with Rodolphus' search for the child, and in order to separate himself from these more extreme Death Eaters, Rodolphus re-named his group the 'Knights of Walpurgis', harking back to an earlier time in the Death Eater's history.
A rogue werewolf has been on the loose, laying traps in order to bite people each month, and Rita Skeeter started her own publication that couldn't be stopped by the Potter's obtaining a gag order from the Wizengamot like they did with the Daily Prophet. Unfortunately, many years spent in a jar have addled Rita's brain and she isn't exactly the poster child for sanity anymore. She is on the run, but will likely pop back up to spread more gossip just when no one wants her to.
The Potter's, sick of their family being the subject of 'news' in the Daily Prophet have bought the newspaper and are taking possession soon, which is prompting some members of the public to grow uneasy that the news might now be controlled by such a powerful family. Perhaps a new, purist-leaning (subtle, of course) publication might be necessary.
Judicium is a game filled with intrigue, plot, fun and romance. Our players are amazing, very creative, welcoming and LOVE new characters!
