X-Project: An X-Men Movieverse RPG on Livejournal [07 Sep 2012|12:49pm]

X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN MOVIEVERSE RPG

Name: CECILIA REYES

Date of Birth: January 6, 1981

Powers: Impenetrable forcefield

Status: X-CORPS - AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATIONS.

Cecilia Reyes, a medical student at Columbia University, she was forced to leave there and come to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters after being outed as a mutant in the wake of the massacre there. Pragmatic and driven by her lifelong goal to become a doctor, Cecilia found the madness of the school difficult to deal with. She developed a close friendship with Xi'an Coy Manh, the librarian, and with the other doctors, but her world view was shattered with the hatching of Lockheed the dragon from an egg brought back from Asgard. Unable to deal with such affronts to reality as she knew it, Cecilia moved into an apartment in nearby Salem Center and continued her studies, although her lack of focus on developing control of the forcefield she can project may one day come back to haunt her.

X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

Check out the Wiki and the advertising community to see what's available. Readers are highly encouraged! If you're looking for X-Men based entertainment, X-Project welcomes you to read along and enjoy the ride!

Place your hold and pick a job. Game opens at 5 applications.

taken/held, application, jobs, rules, members, dropbox/removal

~Freedomclass is cruise ship. Your character will be assigned a roommate but you pick the job and you pick their backstory. The beauty of this game is that interaction happens everywhere. You can't escape a ship, you just can't.

  • Dark House

is a horror/survival RPG. Locked with strangers in a huge house, you must survive with whatever you can carry. Because not only is the house full of rooms & halls & secret passages, but it's also alive.

    And you will get lost.

  • You were having a pretty average day. Doing the same things you usually do on any given day, making plans & getting things accomplished. Talking to loved ones or regretting the past. Daydreaming, creating, barking orders, making enemies. Or sitting around doing absolutely nothing with yourself.
  • Then, suddenly, darkness.
  • You wake up to more darkness, but you can see just a bit of your surroundings. It's like nowhere you ever remember visiting. You raise a hand to rub your eyes, hoping it's just a dream, & notice something on the back of your hand. It's embedded, part of your flesh. And it's blinking with text.
  • There are others here. Others who have been here for some time. You can read what they're saying to each other & some of them seem to be able to see each other too. But all you see is text glowing green in the darkness.
  • None of them knows why you all are here, or where here is for that matter. They just know it's pretty damned messed up & there's no way out.
  • And there are monsters.
  • Welcome to the Dark House.

In the beginning, there was only the Creator. And She created the world; its lands and seas, peoples and beasts. She created the Keeper, to rule over the dead. She gave the world to her people, whom She loved dearly, to do with what they would. The people multiplied, forming their cultures and societies, and were faithful to the Creator. And when there were many, the Creator made the Watchers: lesser deities to watch her people and report. You see, there are simply too many people for the Creator to keep track of, too many prayers to answer. The Watchers watch, and tell Her what her creations need.

But they speak in His ear, too.

She gave the Watchers free will, and perhaps that was Her greatest mistake. Not every Watcher is good. Not every prayer is answered by the Creator. The Keeper speaks to the Watchers, too, and He does not want for good in the realm of the living. He wants only to rule all, with the death of all things.

You, the player, are a Watcher, and the choice is up to you. Will you do good or evil? Which prayers will you answer? Which side are you on?

Watchers, Please is an original high-fantasy game in a medieval setting where the players themselves are the gods. You are a Watcher. Characters pray, and players submit requests. Every week, players will vote on which prayers and requests will be answered – and by whom, and how. How do you want to rule? Only one thing is certain: characters should be careful with what they wish for.

Re-opening September 12th! Now accepting applications!
