and not much is left

On Christmas Day 2012, four days after the scheduled “end of the world” panic, the world came to a screeching halt. An asteroid, larger than any that had come into contact before, struck the moon, knocking it out of its place in orbit and just a bit closer to the Earth.

The resulting events were catastrophic, Tsunamis buried whole cities, even states in a matter of moments. Earthquakes killed millions. Volcanoes all around the world, spewed hundreds of tons of ash into the skies, blocking out the sun and turning the world a bleak shade of gray.

Then the madness started, no one knows what caused it, some speculate that it was a result of the lack of sunlight or lack of food. But people turned on each other, killed each other and then ate them. Kuru, a disease first discovered in Papua New Guinea, had reached the United States. These people in the latter stages had become so unstable, that they attacked people at random and with a ferocity that had never been seen before

That was months ago and now for a small band of survivors who’ve managed to make their homes in a small subdivision of duplex homes located in the heart of Blythville, things don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. Food is growing scarce, fuel is a rarity in and of itself, and time seems to be no one’s friend.

Will you survive?

Objects of power have always existed, hidden in plain sight, remembered in both ancient and urban legend. The world is full of the strange and the supernatural. It's our job to locate, to safeguard, to contain. More often than not that means making sure no one learns the truth about the existence of such artifacts, and to keep the world safe from those who would misuse them.

Ye Gods! [14 Jan 2012|03:14pm]

In centuries past, mortals believed in superstition. They believed in gods. They believed in magic. As human civilization evolved and fewer people chose to believe in the otherworld, the mist grew thicker and the parallel worlds more separate. Mortals were blessed (and cursed) to see only what they wanted to see. They went about their business unaware that the gods were still very much around and pulling the strings.

With worship waning, the gods found that they had to think of new ways to increase their power and influence. They turned to their mortal children - their demi-gods. However, lately, greater problems have arisen. The forces of darkness and chaos are rising, threatening the very fabric of existence. Who will succeed? Who will stand for goodness and light, and who will be the harbingers of darkness and chaos?

[info]yegods is a modern fantasy roleplaying game inspired by White Wolf's Scion setting and Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series. We're a small plot-driven, log heavy game with super friendly players and a lot of activity, so join today! Join us and experience the adventure, intrigue, and excitement of Ye Gods!

Looking for an AU game with a fresh twist? Age of Kings might be just for you.

In this world, not only are there wizards on the throne, there's wizards everywhere. The Statute of Secrecy never existed, and wizards have been running the world for the past 500 years. They've done it by ruthlessly subjugating muggles.

Now, in the year 2000, the English throne is up for grabs. Two families have a good claim on it, and no one knows who will get it. In this uncertain time, revolutionary groups have thrown in their lot as well and ask "Do we really need a king at all?"

This is a royals game less focused on the actual royals themselves and more on the atmosphere they create.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, come join us. We'd love to have you.

rutledge manor [14 Jan 2012|04:44pm]
Welcome to Rutledge Manor.
Please, have a seat.

Would you like some tea? No? All right, then let's begin. You are here because your family has refused to put up with you, is that correct? Ah, my apologies. Delicate subject, your removal from home. Well, I assure you, we will take very good care of you here.

For now.

Rutledge Manor is a children and youth literature-centric roleplaying game set within the hospital of the same name. But it is not where normal children go. It is where the children from stories such as Peter Pan, Hansel and Gretel, to Coraline and James and the Giant Peach, all come together and unite under one roof.

But those who come into Rutledge Manor may never leave.

Forsaken: the Prophecy- a Demons vs. Angels RPG [14 Jan 2012|06:46pm]

Bonnie Dickinson gets up at the crack of dawn, takes her shower and starts her day; she lays out her husband’s work clothes, her children’s school clothes and then heads downstairs to fix them all a full breakfast before they begin their days. She’s proud of her family; her husband, Frank, is a Deputy with the Babylon Sheriff’s Department, Son, Brad, is on the Babylon High School football team, and daughter, Sarah, is on the cheerleading squad. Bonnie’s family is her life, her work and her entertainment. She was born in Babylon and hasn’t really travelled anywhere much, except for a trip to Des Moines once. Her best friend, Linda, lives next door, in the blue rancher; they know everything about each other…except, Bonnie doesn’t know that Linda is married to an angel and that her children are nephilim. Most of the humans in Babylon are just like Bonnie Dickinson; they have no idea a war is being waged right under their noses.

The battle between the angels and demons started when a prophecy was discovered in Babylon during the construction of the town's new movie theater. It gives both sides a reason to win, and once a month at the closing hour and the beginning hour, the angels and demons battle it out in an effort to reap their reward.

Which side will you choose?
