[31 Aug 2011|12:09am]

After the downfall of Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters, a new feeling of patriotism among the Wizarding World encouraged plenty of citizens to want to police their world. This caused an influx of employees in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, as more and more people were interested in being Aurors and Hit Wizards. Difference in opinions caused different political groups to emerge, causing the Ministry of Magic to have many more government officials than at once was necessary. With most people focused on the DMLE, less and less people were interested in other career paths.

The Department of Education was created after several years, in order to work with Hogwarts and create a system which would help students choose their career paths. With the redesign of the study programs, the aim was to train students for occupations in other areas, and give them a background to launch them their prospective careers. Hogwarts has successfully implemented this program for the past five years, and continues to show students the various career paths they are able to focus their attention on. As a requirement for graduation now, students are required to choose a path, regardless of whether or not they continue that path after Hogwarts.

A new generation has come to Hogwarts filled with students who are full of life, ready to figure out who they are.
This game is for writers who want to develop an original Harry Potter character! The game allows you to develop your character through interaction not through your own character development journal. You can see exactly how your character would interact to various situations as they come to life in your brain. We want to write and have fun, while developing new characters. The application process exists not so we can pick your character apart, but so that you have the opportunity to outline who you see your character to be while giving the voting staff the chance to ask you questions that will help to develop your character.

Players are expected to be able to create their own plot ideas and any and all ideas from players are welcome. However, we do provide weekly challenges for those all too common writing blocks. We hope to see you soon!

Most wanted:
Albus Potter, Rose Weasley, and Slytherins, along with original 1st years, 6th years, and 7th years

The year is 1963.

It is a time in history like no other. There are those who feel that they are standing on the dawn of a golden age while others feel that the threat of nuclear war will tear the nation apart. The fire of the Civil Rights Movement is beginning to blaze with men and women standing up against oppression at home, as costumed superheroes and criminals begin to make their presence known.

Against this backdrop of conflict and change, a man named Charles Xavier is searching for others of his kind.

Xavier sees the turmoil ahead. He believes that a war against mutants may soon be coming--he sees it in the reaction of Americans to the threat of the bomb and the fear of mutation. His friend, Erik Lehnsherr, argues that violence should be met with violence, that mutants should strike first and enslave those who would harm them. But Xavier is not a man quick to anger and instead, he is preparing a sanctuary for those who would band together for protection. It is not children that he seeks but men and women--in case the battle is brought to their front door.

As movements march on and wars erupt, Xavier’s dream turns from fantasy to necessity. Where will it lead mutantkind?

MOST WANTED: Brotherhood members, Morlocks, Hellfire Club, Avengers and Avengers villains, Warren Worthington III (Angel), Janet Van Dyne (Wasp), Benjamin Grimm (Thing), Jean Grey (Marvel Girl), Jubilation Lee (Jubilee), John Proudstar (Thunderbird), Remy LeBeau (Gambit), Shiro Yoshida (Sunfire), Scott Summers (Cyclops)... and those not listed on our taken list.

Forgotten Gods [31 Aug 2011|03:05pm]

"Immortals are what you wanted," said Thor in a low, quiet voice. "Immortals are what you got. It is a little hard on us. You wanted us to be for ever, so we are for ever. Then you forget about us. But we are still for ever. Now at last, many are dead, many are dying," he then added in a quiet voice, "but it takes a special effort."

-- Douglas Adams, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul

Forgotten Gods follows the deities of ancient mythologies, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers have moved on to new religions, the gods' powers have waned -- for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, intent on regaining the power that was once theirs and reviving their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the old ones, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep, abiding wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.

Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll? [31 Aug 2011|07:03pm]
Opening 15th Sept. 2011

Are you ready to hit the road?

Will Taylor was always going to be a superstar.
The first time he performed in a talent show, he was five years old. By the time he was seven, he had his own hit TV show. At thirteen, he was every teenage girl’s dream. By the time he was fifteen, their mothers were secretly yearning for him to be legal. At eighteen, he quit. Walked away. He went to college, finished his education, shook off the ‘child star’ and decided what direction his life would take.
Four years later, at twenty-two, he re-emerged as lead singer of The Trust, a rock band with a growing following and a number one hit single. That was a decade ago. Now, The Trust are legends. Their fan base is massive, their playlist huge. Will Taylor is the front man for what is arguably the greatest band of all time. And now, The Trust is going on a world tour and we’re looking to take you along.

Crescendo [31 Aug 2011|09:20pm]
It's 1981. Voldemort is on the rise. Death Eaters roam free. Hundreds have died or disappeared. As each day passes, the resistance grows weaker. Voldemort seems to be invincible and all hope seems lost, that is until a Prophecy is made; a child with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies to those who have thrice defied him and with a power that the Dark Lord will not understand. This child will bring an end to Voldemort's reign. And so the Dark Lord set out to kill this child before he could grow into a threat.

We all know the story, little Harry Potter is that child, his parent's die to protect him, the Dark Lord falls, Sirius Black is sent to prison, The Longbottoms are tortured to insanity, dozens more die, and the survivors are left broken.

But let's not get further into that, because we all know that story. Because, what if the story had a different outcome? What if you had a chance to re-write canon? Decide who lives? Who dies? Who wins the war?

What if you could re-write history?

Here is your chance!

Crescendo is an AU Marauders Era RPG taking place in 1981, when the war is in full swing. Through your actions, the story will slowly unravel into something new and exciting, or still have the same outcome. The ending is unknown, but the journey to discovering it will be a good one.

So...what are you waiting for?
Most Wanted: Rabastan Lestrange, Moody, Gideon & Fabian Prewett, Hestia Jones, Amelia & Edgar Bones, Trelawney, Vector, Evan Rosier, Kingsley, Caradoc, Benjy Fenwick, Mulciber, Sinistra, Slughorn, Sprout, Pomfrey, Barty's Jr. & Sr., Amos Diggory, Fudge, Mafalda Hopkirk, Scrimgeour, Umbridge, Rookwood, Doholov, MacNair, Karkaroff, Augusta & Max Longbottom, etc.

Specific storylines & more wanted characters can be found here!
