The names Potter and Dumbledore have been splashed across every Wizarding news print around the world in these past summer months. Are they trust-worthy or aren’t they? That truly is the big question, as to which no one seems to know. The month of September has finally rolled around bringing the start of a new school year with it, involving the beloved Trio in their sixth year. Dolores Umbridge has been appointed the Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher for the second year in a row, continuing to fuel everyone’s uncertainty about the ministry.
We all know the story of Draco Malfoy’s betrayal to the school he had once called home, of how Severus Snape gave Albus his bitter release of death and of course how within the years to follow how the one and only Dark Lord was defeated. But what if. What if that never happened? What if Severus and Albus never spoke of the Horcrux’s and of Harry’s fate? What if Draco was never given that mission?

It shocked everyone - a transmission from the Ancient ship Destiny, with unexpected news - the stranded personnel were returning home. After the initial wave of relief passed, the crews of both bases flung themselves into a frenzy. Everyone can think of some use for the newly discovered technology Destiny will bring, and everyone wants it. In order to make full use of personnel, the crews know they'll likely be shuffled around. In some cases, family and lovers will be separated. In others, new partnerships will be formed. And of course, in some cases, rivals will be forced to try and work it out. Again. And dealing with rehabilitating the returnees won't be an easy task, either. Oh, and did we mention that protecting the planet from whatever bad guys want to come through our gate is still on the agenda, too?
One thing's for certain: you've been called here for a reason. You've got what it takes, so suit up - we've got a mission.

Heaven's Door is the only journal-based roleplay set in the universe of the Stargate franchise. We are set post all canon. We're dedicated to forming a strong base of players who want to get creative, have fun, and maybe not take the game too seriously. Activity is a must, though; as is a desire to play with the diversity of the franchise's canon.
We are a brand new game and thus are searching for nearly all canon characters, with special emphasis on Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter, Teal'c, Cameron Mitchell, Carolyn Lam, John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, Teyla Emmagan, Ronon Dex, Jennifer Keller, Eli Wallace, Nicholas Rush, Tamara Johansen, Camille Wray, Chloe Armstrong, Everett Young, and other main cast members. Original characters ARE allowed, but we ask that you take a canon role first so we can be sure to fill those roles.
