Grave Comfort is a supernaturally themed original character role-playing game set in a fictitious small town known as Comfort, Virginia. Established in 1763, Comfort has a rich history going back to the original colonies of America. In the present day, it is famous for the strange goings-on that happen throughout the town: mysterious lights over the woods, a haunted former prison for the criminally insane, haunted train tracks, the remains of a 19th century cult that ended in mass murder...there was even a cult slasher film series based on the town's supernatural history that has spawned an annual horror film festival. Typical tourist attractions can be found in town too, from tours on the Buckley Plantation or at the Thorpe winery to visits to the Historical Society's Museum or one of the many art galleries in town. Come to Comfort for its attractions, stay to experience its oddities.

Salem Academy The students of Salem Academy have had a rough year. Gossip, rumors, dances, hook-ups and break-ups: those are all expected during high school. But at a school for witches and wizards, in one of the most historically magical towns in America, life is even more difficult. Especially now that the existence of magic has been revealed to Muggles by renegades.
Graduation has come and gone, but the seniors aren't going anywhere. The Bureau of Magic needs them to protect the school from outside forces. Some call it volunteer service, some call it a draft. Some call it an opportunity, some call it oppression. One way or another, the new school year's going to be nothing if not unexpected. |

They came at night, men and women in white coats with needles and drugs, chloroform and ether, invading the sanctity of homes. They stepped through portals and no wards or locks could stop them. They kidnapped individuals and took them to an artificial island for the purpose of observing them.
The Heads put their new subjects in rooms in a hotel, turned on their cameras, and settled down to wait. They were engaged in a social experiment, peppering their artificial island with rumors of a way back home, if only people could learn to work together.
But the people weren't simply left to their own devices. The Heads create hazards on a weekly basis to keep the population on their toes and to observe the effects of various changes to the environment. They want to see the formation of bonds of friendship and love, of animosity and hatred, and then test those bonds.

 Welcome to Avalonis, where superheroes and villains walk the streets and nothing is quite what it seems.
The city of Avalonis was once dubbed the superpowered capital of the world and even today the city is filled with people who can do the most extraordinary things. Some can move things with their mind, others can read them and then there are some who have no powers at all but insist on fighting for justice nonetheless. As when you have a city filled with heroes, villains will follow and now the city is host to some of the most spectacular and epic show downs the world has ever seen.
Beneath the shiny exterior of the city and the side that the tourists come to see in the hope of catching a glimpse of the city's famous heroes and villains is a layer of corruption. The Irish mob and Italian mafia control parts of the city, pushing prostitution and drugs onto the streets of Avalonis. If there's something you crave then there's always a way to get it, no matter how sordid your tastes.
There's a reason why the city needs heroes. Avalonis Police Department is rife with corruption. The internal struggle within the department is probably why they have yet to pay full attention to the recent disappearances of young superpowered individuals, but how long can these disappearances remain unnoticed and who knows more than they're letting on? |

myself and a small group of writers have put together a small, group psl. the premise is a group of families that are all connected somehow and their small group of close friends and the trials and tribulations of the group. The location is Philadelphia, age-wise late teens to early forties. the line is carried out over group threads, journal comments and even aim.

Present day Aiode Falls, Maine is home to many residents from all over the globe. And Universe.The little college town is growing, and becoming home to more and more people all of the time. Some of them have no idea how they got there, and some of them can never go home. As the University gets darker with new arrivals harboring less than happy intentions, so does the city. It is now home to metahumans, vampires, humans, demons, ghosts, aliens and even celestial beings. All of them with defined morals (or none, for that matter) and each with an allegiance. Those without a chosen allegiance are considered fair game, as both sides subconsciously prepare. Peace has reigned in the city of Excelsior for sixteen years - the war between the superpowered forces of good and evil at an end, its soldiers living in quiet retirement. With their capes and spandex gathering dust in various closets, they've settled down, gotten normal jobs, and started families. It's more common to see a hero and his former archnemesis golfing together on a sunny day than fighting in the streets, in 2010.
Their superhuman abilities have been passed on to their children, most of whom are too young to remember the glory days. Growing up in a world of peace, school and their friends have dominated their lives. There hasn't been any reason to distinguish themselves as heroes and villains.
