The Greeks: A Greek Gods RP [01 May 2010|12:25am]

You think you know a story, but you only know how it ends.
To get to the heart of the story, you have to go back to the beginning...

COMING SOON!
Needed: Metis (a short, but very important role), Aphrodite, Demeter, and more!

The Greek gods were known to meddle in the lives of mortals. They had scandalous affairs, unleashed curses, and orchestrated wars that decimated populations.

But what happened before that?

Hesiod speaks of the beginnings of the Greek pantheon, the start of the reign of the Olympians. The sons of Kronos drew lots to divide the cosmos, and each established his reign over a third of the world. Zeus had two wives before Hera, and numerous liaisons that were soon over. What happened to Metis? And Themis? What of Mnemosyne, and Eurynome, and Demeter? What led Poseidon to take the Sea Goddess Amphitrite to wife? And how did Persephone catch Hades' eye?

Well, we are about to find out...

wayfare is based on watership down by richard adams and the road by cormac mccarthy, but you needn't have read either to be able to participate. it's setting is neither in the past nor the future but is an unspecified now. it is set post-apocalypse, where both bombs and disease have left the world ravaged. members of two separate groups are available for play. one are the wayfarers, a small ragtag collection of misfits who have recently escaped impending death in a military compound. the other are those found in another military base, under the rule of a ruthless and paranoid general. this game will remain small, with only sixteen available characters for play, and will be thread-heavy.

BRAND NEW MUSICIAN BASED RPG [01 May 2010|03:38pm]

The Venue is a quiet little club without much to its name in downtown Boise, Idaho. It gained its reputation as a show venue in the late sixties/early seventies and played an active role in the music scene until the early eighties. Interest dwindled and newer, better places opened up and by 1984 the club was forced to declare bankruptcy and the building was left empty.

Neglect and disrepair left it to be condemned in early 1993 and it was finally sold on tender bids for a nominal fee in 2003 to George Pettit. He probably only paid ten bucks for the building and the land but in the time between then and now he's shelled any money he has into repairing and rebuilding and turning The Venue into something greater than it ever was before.

The Venue brings a revolving crowd of indie, rock, metal and pop acts through Boise. They open to both all ages and of age crowds, depending on the show, and the crew that works the club does its very best to make sure the experience is fun, safe and memorable. With a mix of managers, sales teams, techs and bartenders, there are lots of jobs for the qualified folks who come looking.

Interested?

Washing your hands in blood won't take away the stain.

Imagine waking up in a city that you didn't fall asleep in. Your home is exactly as it was, but the city you lived in? It's no longer there. You're in a new city, one you've never seen or even heard of. River's Crossing. It's a city surrounded by a heavy embankment of fog and a forest dark as a moonless midnight. It's a forest rumored to be filled with creatures straight out of the most disturbing of nightmares. People will tell you that you're safe from the monsters so long as you stay within the city.

But what protects you from everything and everyone else?

Since there's no room in heaven...

This Town, Your Grave is a new OC game based on music and the supernatural. Your character is dying. They don't know it, but they were on the cusp of death before they awoke in River's Crossing. The reason they've been chosen to be there is simple. Their soul is stuck in the middling state between good and evil. Somewhere along the way, a good person did something terrible or a terrible person did something good. River's Crossing acts as a limbo of sorts.

Music plays a large part of This Town, Your Grave and part of the application process is providing a song that inspired the creation of your character. Each character will be based on a different song. This provides a unique and fun aspect to the game.

Game is OPEN!

He made this town, this town, your grave.

Limerick City.

This is your home. No one calls it by its real name, not in this end of town anyway. Here the gangs rule, and the 52s have had control for about as long as anyone can remember. You might be one of them. Or maybe you're one of the few still trying to clean up this city. Corruption is all around and you can never quite be sure who to trust.

Some say you’d have to be mad to stay here.
Maybe they’re right.

They call this Wonderland.

An urban take on Lewis Caroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Look-Glass.

OPENS WITH TEN CONFIRMED CHARACTERS
