Once upon a time in a not so distant future, there was a magical kingdom, ruled by a fair king and his councils. After generations of struggles, it is a place where all witches and wizards are created equal...or so everyone wants you to believe.
Welcome to Great Britain in 2028, where everyone, no matter blood status is given equal protection under the law, thanks to the hard work of good King Draco. The common people have been given a voice in government, and while there is still fear after the muggle terrorist attack in 2025, the country is recovering. It's a world where nobles and royals must live a double life, and young upstart politicians are given opportunities thanks to King Draco's Council of Commons. But is everything as rosy as it seems?
On the Edge of a Golden World is a next-gen alternative universe RP that allows you to explore the universe of Harry Potter in unique way. It's next generation without the epilogue, in a world where you aren't tied down to epilogue pairings and canon families can be shaped in different ways. The Premise
Werewolf attacks have become the stuff of everyday life for much of Wizarding Britain, an ancient spell cast by Slytherin himself is bringing the dead back to life, and a certain Dark Lord seems intent on conquering the world again... Harry Potter, the Head of the Aurors, has his Department fighting back with around the clock patrols and Hit Wizards are busier than ever before, but even with extra security, is the world safe?
How long will the tension build? How much can those who saved the world take? How far can the wizarding world be pushed before it reaches its breaking point?

Everyone knew it was coming. The end of the world as we knew it. Great care is being taken to protect the living. The newly formed world government, consisting of leaders from several of the great nations, have worked together to create Salus, a home for the survivors of what they may as well declare the apocolypse.
But something doesn't add up. People go missing for days at a time and then return as if nothing was wrong. One day, they'll wake up changed...but it never lasts long.
Through it all, the residents of Salus are surviving. They're socializing, creating, and falling in love. Despite all they've gone through and are going through still, they're living. But the question remains: are they truly being sheltered by 'the good guys'? |
