A Modern Fairy Tale RPG For as long as anyone can remember, the City has always been one of the largest metropolitan centers in the world. It has had its share of glory and decline, but none so great as the age in which Oz Corp was first founded and what followed after. Michael Ozma was no man of magic, but he might as well have been for the technological wonders he brought to the people of the City. He invented a software interface so advanced it seemed uncrackable and reshaped the corporate world in the City. Even thirty-six years after his death, his revolutionary ideas are still inspiring work on Oz Corps newest water-powered engine. Now, Ozma's three surviving daughters rule over this once great Metropolis, and the Gilded Age is long past. OzCorp has become corrupt, and the City has fallen from it's glory days. Crime and drugs now rule the streets, though some aristocrats still live above it all. Inspired by folk-lore and fairy-tales, Not So Far Away is a unique Role-Playing World that incorporates characters from fairytale, folklore, and mythology from around the world and brings them into this ever-expanding universe. The only rule is that every character represents an arch-type from another story, whether that be Prince Charming or the infamous Mr Toad. Having trouble conceiving a character of your own? We have a long list of 'pre-made' character concepts that will play an important role to the overall plot of our story. Born to Lily and James Potter, left a scarred orphan before his second birthday, and deemed The Chosen One after Voldemort's return. The boy who spent a year scouring the country for the remaining Horcruxes while war raged and countless died. But what if you could change history? Shortly before his death in 1997, Albus Dumbledore held a meeting with the Order of the Phoenix, and he invited several of the adult members of the D.A. as well. With the help of the Department of Mysteries, he was able to procure what few time turners remained, and he asked more of the Order than he ever has before. To go back in time, hunt down the Horcruxes, and defeat Voldemort before the second war ever happens. To prevent the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands. To change the course of history. Most agree, but there are dangers none of them could have foreseen. There is no guarantee they will be able to return to their own time--or survive long enough to try. Darkness permeates every aspect of the wizarding world, and no one outside of the Order can discover who they are. But most importantly, the combined Order must work together and hunt down the Horcruxes before it's too late. History is changing right before their eyes. Rushed to hospital and into surgery, his life was saved but his injury kept him out of the field and confined to desk duty for a few weeks. To compensate for this, Jack offered Martha a job with Torchwood, which she accepted. The game starts with Owen back at work after a month off, Martha a full member of the team, her fiancé Tom working at a local hospital, and the team looking forward to Gwen and Rhys' wedding. It has been twenty-four years since the defeat of what was once known as the greatest dark wizard of all time, but it looks like Hogwarts will have to go through another trial. Headmistress McGonagall has noticed the behaviour in her students and worries: the house unity has been lacking the past few years. More and more students tend to stick to their own, and while there are a select few that have no problem interacting with other houses, the unity that should have improved over time has only worsened. So while her students have all gone home for winter break, she has come up with a plan to unite them once more; but will the students be willing? HELLO HURRICANE is a next generation Harry Potter game that revolves around the students and their interaction. Every month, there will be a inter-house challenge that will unite the houses.
