Tolkien On the night of All Hallow’s Eve, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another vicious war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of James and Lily Potter and the story of their son, Harry, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell has left his post at Hogwarts to travel Romania, where he will soon discover the Dark Lord and become his vessel, but back at Hogwarts, all thoughts of Voldemort ever returning are far from anyone’s minds. The students of Hogwarts are far too worried about their love lives, winning Quidditch matches, and avoiding being the target of the secret gossip column of the school, while their professors have similar interests. Rivalries run deep, love comes and goes, and the foundation for the future is being paved. Everyone stands at a crossroads, the road behind them broken and wilting. The road ahead holds a mystery. Which paths in life will they chose? Who will they become? Only one thing is certain; they must choose. Darkness Rising RPG [30 Sep 2009|03:04am] October, 1978. Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange are no longer on the run; The Dark Lord set a plan in motion to preserve both their freedom and their reputations, while dealing a devastating blow to the Ministry and the Order of the Phoenix all at once. Bellatrix Lestrange staged a public sighting to draw the Aurors and the Order to Cheshire, where the Death Eaters were waiting to surround them. The casualties and injuries were many and although Bellatrix Lestrange was captured, she will not be in prison for long, as it is all a part of The Dark Lord’s plan. The Dark Lord has many irons in the fire. As he creates the last of his seven desired Horcruxes, he aspires to destroy the one man who still threatens him: Albus Dumbledore. To that end, a member of his Inner Circle has infiltrated the school as Defense Against the Dark Arts instructor... Dumbledore is striving to save Severus Snape from his own dark ambitions, but little does he know it is far too late for that; Snape has already taken the Dark Lord's Mark. Narcissa Black is about to wed Lucius Malfoy, but she struggles with the duality of marrying and supporting a Death Eater while maintaining a friendship with an enlistee of the Auror Corps. Fenrir Greyback covets the hapless Dorcas Meadowes, but he too has goals beyond his own carnal desires. As he builds his werewolf army for Voldemort, he also has his eye on the Auror set on bringing him down; Caradoc Dearborn. Alice Longbottom’s father, responsible for the death of her daughter, has been murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, but the Ministry only has their eyes set on the Longbottoms and Dumbledore for the culprits. As if the Auror Departments numbers weren’t hazardous enough, the recent attack on the Ministry has left them with numbers so low, only a miracle can keep the department from dying off completely. With students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang soon to arrive, the population of Hogwarts are convinced that this time it's their turn to win. However, not even enthusiasm about the tournament can make people forget about the squabbles over Muggle rights and the recent threats of violence against the pureblood community. Time of Trial [30 Sep 2009|03:17pm] Rules-Character List-Format-Application-Sample Application-Plot-Game Facts-Played-Bys-Icon&PB Sources In the 1970s, a war had begun to rage throughout wizarding Britain. People disappeared, entire families were killed-- and the world was torn between Albus Dumbledore's Order of Phoenix and Tom Riddle's Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres and the threat of a pureblood society taking complete control loomed overhead. A red scare suddenly ran throughout the wizarding world as the body count grew. The tables turned when the Dark Lord received intelligence that he believed would seal the fate of this war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and it quickly came to light that this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times, and dispose of their son. On October 31st, 1980 the Dark Lord was finally able to find the Potters at their home in Godric's Hollow when Peter Pettigrew betrayed them. However, the Potters were not ill-prepared for the attack. Severus Snape had been able to warn Lily Potter of what was to come, and when the Dark Lord arrived that evening at Godric's Hollow-- he was not met with the happy parents and their child-- but the entire Order of Phoenix and an ambush. On that Halloween, the Dark Lord fell, and the wizarding world rejoiced. Time marched on, and the world forgot about what had happened that Halloween in 1980. The families who had supported the Dark Lord were either jailed, disappeared or managed to buy their way into freedom with tarnished reputations-- but the Ministry of Magic and the Order of Phoenix managed to regain their hold and purge the world of darkness. The world was at peace, but the Dark Lord would not remain forgotten forever-- those true to him knew there were plans that could resurrect him-- but those plans had seemingly disappeared. [30 Sep 2009|05:14pm] You're just a normal person, you tell yourself. You go in, you do your job, come back home. Your life is normal and you don't quite believe in the things that go bump in the night. Well. That's until you start noticing little things. Like the bakery down the street, the one you visit every day for their delicious cookies? There's always a man there, in a white suit ordering gingersnap cookies. When he looks at you, the sudden need to stuff yourself beyond your limits with everything in sight makes you swallow and run off. He doesn't seem to notice. The woman who works at your office, the one who you know is having an affair with your boss, well she always seems as if she's looking at you, smiling wide. And yet, you have this feeling that if you ever budged an inch, gave in to taking what her eyes, her body's offering to you, that if she dared go back to her boss, you'd kill her, you'd kill him. What's worse, is when you come home, your child is off. She seems to like playing with her doll, talking to it like it's alive. As if the doll really does say things to her, and every time you see her doing something wrong, it's the doll's name that slips from her mouth. It seems you're the only human left in this place. Hellocracy is a supernatural RP that involves demons, humans, fallen angels, and a bit of the in between. Currently, we are not allowing more demons to apply. Humans, fallen angels, vampires, and hunters are needed. The. Fruitful. Project. [30 Sep 2009|10:38pm] In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. The same lab that developed the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the now near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by administering it to everyone as a vaccine at doctor's appointments. To further insure that the population will continue to grow and to 'usher in a new era of life', a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?
