A Dark Wizard, a Voldemort-wannabe of sorts, decided that for his soldiers, he would create a beyond time for a training grounds, and then bring the best and brightest children of the ages to it and have his followers train them. But something went wrong, and he ended up with a whole town of adults, young and old. And it seems a lot of them don't agree with his idea of controlling muggles and becoming king of the world. Oops. From all different times and places, the witches and wizards of the United Kingdom have been plopped down into a town without much else to do other than try to find the Dark King, and get out of here. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him. Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard. Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat. For years he worked on building its foundations, testing his theories on various genetic and scientific advances. Having managed to prolong his life and find the "key to immortality", he set about recruiting various members to his ranks to rival the dark forces against the human race. These individuals were altered thanks to Hills' scientific breakthroughs. Their DNA was changed to incorporate special abilites, heighten their natural instincts. With his help and constant monitoring, these individuals formed the battlefront of the Guild and fought the darker elements to protect innocent people. INCANTO [27 Sep 2009|04:26pm] INCANTO a Marauder Era RPG It's 1977; school's out for Summer, but this Summer feels strange... dark, somehow. It won't be long before school will start again, and Owls from Hogwarts are winging their way across the country with the promise of another perfectly normal year at Hogwarts. Homework will be piled on, the threat of looming exams being beaten into ignorant minds, but for now, at least, it's Summer, yet... something doesn't feel right. It's so much darker this year than it was last year. The days seem to be shortening beyond comprehension. The fog is thick and cold and constant, not to mention the fact that everyone seems so glum. There are disappearances being noted in the newspaper, but everything seems vague, as though someone knows what is going on, but too afraid to voice it aloud. The adults seem a bit on edge, uncertain how to handle the evil that is lurking in the shadows. The students, for the most part, are completely unaware of what is going on, even those whose parents are deep in the throes of swearing their allegiance to one side or another. The students, it seems, live in a world of their own, one untouched by the misery and doom of the outside world. Still, there seems to be something very unpleasant lurking unsaid, something creeping and crawling into the very veins of those it infects. Though there are only whispers, and people are afraid to voice their fears out loud, there are some things that cannot be fought. After all, it's difficult to feel protected by magic when the other side can use it, too. Incanto is a straightforward Marauder Era game. No weird twists, no time travel, nothing out of the ordinary. If you just want a game that is canon, then this is for you. The pain caused him to lose control of his psionic energies, blowing a hole in his chest and destroying the lower part of his face. Incredibly, he survived, ultimately arriving at Xavier's to learn control of the blasts. Control wasn't forthcoming, but the embittered loner found love instead, in the form of Paige Guthrie. A further powers accident cost him his entire body, until a daring plan by the genius Forge (who harboured his own feelings for Paige), enabled him to fully reconstruct himself. The bliss of a whole body was not to be, and an encounter with Kevin Ford cost him that hard-won form. Eventually he was able to partially rebuild himself, and he and Paige returned from Muir Island Research Facility, Paige to resume her work in the medlab, Jono to resume teaching Music.
