When Cupid Missed: Panfandom Fluff [20 Sep 2009|09:51am]
Premise

So, right. We all make mistakes. We all screw things up. Even the self-proclaimed Gods screw things up now and again, right? They just have the power to cover it up so we can pretend it never happened. You remember that big plague that accidentally wiped out half the universe? Of course you don't - they hid that little mistake with some creative bookkeeping.

So why is that when Cupid missed, he got banished to some forgotten, alternate universe that had been divested of all its people?

Sure, all right, the person in question might have been a God, and sure, all right, the person he hit might have had a serious grudge against the person he was shooting for, and granted, their romance might have ended up in world-burning flames ...

... but why wasn't anyone around to cover his ass?

Fortunately, he had a friend so to speak, who pulled a few strings and struck a few deals. The world would be populated with people for him to practice his aim on, and maybe if he got good enough, they'd reinstate him.

Until then, he was on his own in an empty world filled with what people could be spared from their own realities.

friendly, active, and always looking for new writers! [20 Sep 2009|11:47am]

The Kingdom of Frell is at peace.

Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance.

That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right?

Wrong.

The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious.

Happily ever after was never a guarantee.

Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books.

The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him.

Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard.

Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat.

Will your student follow the rules or say Bugger All! to them?
Opened August 1st! Very active already, and rather fast-paced!

Would anyone be interested if I started a Lost Redux RP? I figure we could start from day one let it get AU from there. All flashbacks would be canon and we'll take anyone from all three groups (front of the plane, back of the plane & the others). Deaths, pregnancies, alliances, island monster & Jacob & his rival: all that would be up to the players. If I get enough interest, I'll get it up and running asap.

Everyone!
It's 2049 and Hogwarts is about to host the Triwizard Tournament. With students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang soon to arrive, the population of Hogwarts are convinced that this time it's their turn to win.

However, not even enthusiasm about the tournament can make people forget about the squabbles over Muggle rights and the recent threats of violence against the pureblood community. It seems that Britain is being targeted by a radical anti-pureblood organisation that will stop at nothing to get their point across.

GAME BEGINS 1ST OF OCTOBER.

Full Circle: A Harry Potter Future Gen Game

As the summer came to a close and the wizarding world began to recover from a fierce political battle and a rush of rogue werewolf attacks, everyone was hoping for a little peace and quiet. Relief filled the streets when word got around that a rogue werewolf had been apprehended, but relief turned to confusion and outrage when the rogue wolf was discovered to be a little Muggleborn girl who hadn't received her letter to Hogwarts.

The Ministry claims it was all a mistake, but others have their doubts. Will a horrible conspiracy to keep Muggleborns out of Hogwarts be discovered?

Plot Focused. OC Friendly.

Another shock rocked the wizarding world when none other than Albus Dumbledore, dead for over twenty years, stepped out of a mysterious fireplace in the Room of Requirement. Other witches and wizards have been returning as well. Mixed with the excitement and confusion is a whispering of fear. What if You-Know-Who should come back? Is war once again on the horizon?

The Gilded Court: A Royal Harry Potter AU RPG [20 Sep 2009|08:39pm]

The assassination attempt on Prince Draco was only the beginning. On Saturday, August 22, 2003, a reporter from the Daily Prophet attempted to assassinate King Lucius and succeeded in killing Minister of Magic Robert Greengrass. When his home was searched, a cache of documents and writings implicated a conspiracy by the Minister of Magic and the Crown to surpress muggleborn magic. The Crown denied the allegations, but with two of the most outspoken muggleborn critics of the crown, Aurors Hermione Granger and Nymphadora Tonks sent on a dangerous mission to Iraq and injured, and increasingly violent protests from muggleborn activists groups, people are beginning to question if the royal family really does have their best interests at heart.

Since June 1, the Gilded Court has been an active community of diverse characters exploring an alternate universe where the Malfoy family rules both wizarding and muggle Great Britain. With elements of real world politics, paparazzi, and current events melded with canon spells, biases and dark forces and sprinkled liberally with historical research, Gilded Court is a game unlike any other. We are seeking active, mature players to help us build what happens next.

Most Wanted Characters: Ted Tonks, George and Fred Weasley, Tracey Davis, Peter Pettigrew, Vincent Crabbe, Hermione Granger

This is not the Hogwarts you know. Certainly, its layout is identical, but its ghosts and professors have disappeared. Monsters roam the lower dungeons, and silent house elves dart about performing necessary duties. Outside, it is always winter; the enchanted ceiling of the great hall is always black, even in the daytime. Hogsmeade is deserted, the train doesn't run, and few who venture into the wider world ever return.

People of all ages and from all times are beginning to appear, and they are told by a mysterious old man with no name that they have been rescued, though rescued from what is unclear. Who is the benevolent dictator ruling this world? Is he really that kind after all? What happens when monsters begin to rise to the inhabited levels? And what happens to the people who try to escape?

Fleur Delacour, Hermione Granger, Bellatrix Lestrange, Alice Longbottom, Frank Longbottom, Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy, Peter Pettigrew, James Potter, Tom Riddle, Andromeda Tonks, Emmeline Vance, Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, Victoire Weasley, and more
