All four Hogwarts Teams decided to go, although some notable players were missing as they had died in battle, they still went to Hogwarts on April 14th. It was meant to be a fun way to start a new tradition of bring past players to the Hogwarts Pitch. As Oliver Wood, Marcus Flint, Roger Davies, and Zacharias Smith walked to the center to shake hands, the teams surrounded them in a circle. That's when it happened. To the 28 players standing on the pitch it felt as though the ground had fallen out from beneath them. It was almost like a dream as they landed just outside a village. They all looked around trying to figure out what had happened. Seconds later an old woman who wouldn't show her face walked up to them, some had their wands drawn, some were just watching, some were getting ready to cry. As the old woman opened her mouth to speak, two figures started to walk towards her... "Welcome, it is about time you showed up. We've been waiting for you. Welcome to your new home. You are tasked with completing a tournament and figuring out life here. You all have a room, and a job. Don't worry, time here isn't what you are used to. You will not miss anything from the world you are from. There are two additional players here, they will take their rightful spots on Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. The two who have come in their place will act as substitutes for all four teams." The old woman smiled at them, and the two men flanking her showed their faces... Cedric Diggory and Fred Weasley. Each has been here since their respected deaths, growing to the age they would have been in your world." Each player was quickly assigned a room, a journal to communicate in that also tells them when practice and matches are, and a day job... There is no trading, it is merely what the lives of these 30 Quidditch players now lead... With the promise as soon as a winner is announced they can go home.... Let the Games Start... Or a reasonable facsimile at least. Built over the ruins of the old town, the newly named Prescott Valley has been billed as a shining oasis full of new houses and families. A mere two hour drive from LA, Prescott Valley has cinemas, schools, a mall, several Starbucks... in short, all the amenities you would expect to find in a freshly built town. And one that you wouldn't. Deep below the town, something else has been rebuilt: the Hellmouth. Called to this portal between Earth and the Underworld is the Source, in the body of Cole Turner. In a last ditch effort to win his love back, Cole made a deal to take the Source into his body in exchange for actually getting a body. However, Cole was not as powerful as he thought and his plan to double cross the Source failed. Working with the First, the two Biggest Bads of all time are slowly but surely taking over the town of Prescott Valley, on their way to dominating the world. Tentative news of increased supernatural activity has reached the ears of the Good, however and protectors the likes of the Slayers, the Charmed Ones and others have begun trickling back into the area to investigate. Unbeknownst to most of the Prescott Valleyians, humans have been recruited, lured with promises of power and riches, and slowly the town is decaying again. The Department of Mysteries has made an unbelievable breakthrough in time travel technology, giving them the ability to send people back to any time in the past, and bring them back to the present only one hour after they left, no matter how long the travelers spend there. Naturally, the first question is how to use this to advance the war effort. A visit to Albus Dumbledore shortly before his death provides them with the answer, though they don't have the information to understand it: Albus advises them to send Harry Potter and his friends back to 1977, where they can search for and destroy Horcruxes at their leisure, without the war in the present taking the time to become too much worse. With that, the Trio - and Neville, Ginny, Luna, and Tonks - set off for the past. August, 1977, shortly before the Marauders begin their seventh year at Hogwarts. Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters are terrorising the wizarding world, with their attacks becoming progressively worse; Dumbledore's Order, newly formed, is attempting to combat them. The time travelers find themselves once again installed in the safe haven of Hogwarts, where they masquerade as students while trying to solve the mystery of the Horcruxes. But despite the fact that 1997 only progresses, for them, in leaps and jerks depending on when they return and how long they stay, it won't take long for Voldemort to realise that Harry Potter has vanished from the world as he knows it - and as more people join Harry in the past, wanting to help and wanting to hide, it becomes more and more obvious that the Ministry is involved. [22 Mar 2009|10:08pm] About Lakefront Lake Flannery is a fictional town located near a lake in the state of New Hampshire. Though not all residents reside right on the lake, there is a community of slightly wealthier, slightly more well-to-do residents who own lakefront homes and homes with lake access. Lakefront is a thread-based RPG for original characters which focuses on the lives of the people who live in these homes. Characters of all ages are welcome, including teenagers and senior citizens, and we welcome any and all faces as PBs. At this time, adds are done three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Wanted Characters At the moment, though we have an active core group of writers, we are looking to diversify our group of characters a little bit and bring in some new blood to spice things up. Future plot opportunities, such as a possible murder in the small town community, a lakeside carnival, and a mayoral election will be that much more fun with a few more personalities to throw into the mix. We are looking for pretty much any interesting character who could fit into a laidback, but active town-based game. Based on a song by Carrie Newcomer, Eggs & Toast is a thread-based RPG for original characters who frequent the diner and live and work in Bigfork. The game is brand-new - it just opened today, March 22nd - so many faces have yet to be claimed, and our members are eager to develop new plots and storylines.
