With the HIV pandemic come and gone, the global population faces another risk: global infertility. Irregardless of nationality, ethnicity, lifestyle or life regimen, no children have been born anywhere on the planet in the past fifteen years. Panic abounds. Extremist governments come to power in most countries. The whisper of a cure becomes a chant and soon rumors become reality.
The United States government announces a treatment that can restore fertility among its people. However, fertility comes at a cost. Legislation has quickly been passed. The treatment will only be administered under certain conditions. An individual must be in good health, between the ages of 16-50, and married. Furthermore, participation for all eligible individuals is not optional. Unmarried individuals of age will be listed in a lottery, and married with the intent to start a family. Institutions have been erected. Before all matched couples are sent into their forced cohabitation, they are required to spend time together in government sanctioned counseling centers. Once each month they are required to undergo the fertility treatment, and they are expected to produce a child. Failure for one or both to do so will result in imprisonment until they comply.
Neo Genesis is an arranged marriage RPG set in a universe parallel to our own. We welcome all characters and storylines within the realm of reason. For more information, please consult the timeline here and the FAQ here.

[ premise | application | rules | characters ] Ever wondered what the lives of the chosen ones are really like? Well, I'm going to tell you, because I'm one of them. I'm not talking about beautiful models or actors or musical prodigies or mathematical geniuses. I'm talking about the people who are born to it- those of us who have everything anyone could possibly wish for and who take it all completely for granted.
Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I live and go to school and play and sleep- sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and out parents are rarely home, so we have a ton of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.
It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.
XOXO is an RPG set in the world of Gossip Girl. Here, you can play as your favorite character and enjoy the scandalous world in the Upper East Side.
The game begins after the events in episode 2x12, "It's A Wonderful Lie". The Snowflake Ball ended with a smash - literally. Serena attends the Ball with her artist boyfriend, Aaron Rose, but she begins to question her relationship with him when Dan and Lexi, Aaron's ex-girlfriend, go to the Ball together. Chuck and Blair try to match each other up with the perfect date, but things don't go as planned. Vanessa and Nate's relationship becomes public knowledge, and Little J isn't too happy about it. Lily and Rufus come to terms with something that's been bothering them for the past 20 years, but will the death of Bart Bass put a damper on things, or just make them easier? Now you can decide.

UP THE DOWN a next-gen harry potter roleplay characters * rules * faq * taken pbs * application During the 2022-2023 school year, something weird began to happen at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
At first, it was just a few little oddities popping up to make September interesting: the points hourglasses in the Great Hall started coming up with their own numbers; mild disorientation amongst the House Elves led to the mixing up of a few loads of laundry; one of the enchanted suits of armor left its post and took to wandering the corridors, acting like dandy.
Things only got bigger and more intricate from there: all through October, bats and animated skeletons started coming out of nowhere, and, on Halloween, the Great Hall was inexplicably filled with sheep. In November, almost everyone in the castle claimed to see the oddest animals – rabbits in waistcoats, bipedal tortoises in top hats, giant talking centipedes with surprisingly good manners and impeccable diction – coming out of the dungeons, the lake, and even the toilets, while the owls began reciting poetry and cats throughout the school quoted Paradise Lost. Students, come December, were not hearing the standard holiday tunes, but were reporting to the Hospital Wing en masse, complaining of hearing musical scores that suited their daily goings on perfectly. Mostly, the shenanigans were contained to the school, but, for some reason, they appeared to follow the students and professors home for their Christmas hols.
By the time classes reconvened in January, the trouble at Hogwarts had attracted international attention. Magical theorists were calling it “an unprecedented occurrence with the potential to change magic theory and magical education as we know it.” Everyone from concerned parents to the biggest names in research was paying attention, but no one thought it was particularly dangerous – until Friday the 13th and Valentine’s Day occurred in direct succession.
Hogwarts was utter chaos. That Friday, black was up, down was East, and everything went completely insane. Classes were impossible because the supplies started literally running away. Fire started freezing water, but didn’t make anything colder. The Nifflers brought in for a Care of Magical Creatures lesson began walking upright, came into the school, and performed various plays of Shakespeare in the corridors. A flock of varied tropical birds showed up in the Great Hall, stealing food and giving people unwanted riddles. Valentine’s Day was an even worse fiasco: hormones raged, torrid things happened, and, overwhelmingly, most of the school doesn’t want to talk about it.
On the morning of Monday, 16th February, 2023, the first thing that the Wizengamot voted on was whether or not to quarantine Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry until the source of the madness was discerned and contained. The decision was a unanimous “yes.”
Up the Down is a Next-Gen Harry Potter roleplaying game set during James Sirius Potter’s seventh year. The basis of the game is canon, but the environment will be a laidback union of canon and crack. Additionally, there’s a twist on the standard game format: rather than placing holds and writing long applications, players are randomly assigned their characters, get an idea, and hit the ground running. opening March 3rd, 2009

IN THE 1970s, the wizarding world saw the rise of Lord Voldemort, fearsome leader of the movement to eradicate muggles and muggleborns from the world. The first five years of Voldemort's active stage were relatively quiet though. Very few actually knew an uprising of the purist movement was coming soon - and in the most extreme of ways. Towards the middle of the decade, he and his Death Eaters came more into the forefront, staging attacks on the muggle and wizarding worlds alike. No witch or wizard could believe what was happening. Not since the time of Grindelwald had such havoc been wrought on their world, let alone to the muggles as well.
However, life goes on. People get married, have children, continue living their lives, even with the constant threat over their heads. Students continue to attend Hogwarts and learn, fight, and fall in love. The fifth years prepare for their O.W.L.s. As they hurdle toward their exams, stress, along with the sparks of conflicting ideas, put strains on students and the relationships they hold, particularly one of Lily Evans and Severus Snape. The pinnacle moment of the breaking of their friendship was talked about for months afterwards. Severus Snape called his best friend a Mudblood in a moment of humiliation and anger, causing the demise of their friendship, and putting into motion the events and actions that would eventually lead to the death of Lily and James Potter and baby Harry Potter destroying Voldemort the first time.
But... what if it had not happened? What if James had not approached Severus and found something else to direct his attention towards? Would things have been different? Could it have changed the course of history or would Lily and James marry still and have the saviour of the wizarding world? Only time can tell.
Death Eaters are infiltrating Hogwarts by recruiting students within, student's families are being torn apart, and the world is spiraling into a war based on bloodlines. Through all of this, how will Hogwarts students lead their lives? Where will their loyalties fall as they are forced to choose between joining Voldemort or defying him? One thing is certain though: They will feel like they are not in control of their own destinies. |
Most wanted characters: Kingsley Shacklebolt, Dorcas Meadowes, Amycus Carrow, Alecto Carrow, Alastor Moody, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Ted Tonks, Andromeda Tonks, Order members, Death Eaters, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, Weird Sisters, and many more!

Rules x Premise x Characters Application x PBS x Quidditch FAQs x Timelines x Friends/Contacts
July, 1997, shortly after the death of Albus Dumbledore. The Department of Mysteries has made an unbelievable breakthrough in time travel technology, giving them the ability to send people back to any time in the past, and bring them back to the present only one hour after they left, no matter how long the travelers spend there. Naturally, the first question is how to use this to advance the war effort.
A visit to Albus Dumbledore shortly before his death provides them with the answer, though they don't have the information to understand it: Albus advises them to send Harry Potter and his friends back to 1977, where they can search for and destroy Horcruxes at their leisure, without the war in the present taking the time to become too much worse. With that, the Trio - and Neville, Ginny, Luna, and Tonks - set off for the past.
August, 1977, shortly before the Marauders begin their seventh year at Hogwarts. Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters are terrorising the wizarding world, with their attacks becoming progressively worse; Dumbledore's Order, newly formed, is attempting to combat them. The time travelers find themselves once again installed in the safe haven of Hogwarts, where they masquerade as students while trying to solve the mystery of the Horcruxes.
But despite the fact that 1997 only progresses, for them, in leaps and jerks depending on when they return and how long they stay, it won't take long for Voldemort to realise that Harry Potter has vanished from the world as he knows it - and as more people join Harry in the past, wanting to help and wanting to hide, it becomes more and more obvious that the Ministry is involved. How long can the Ministry stand? And will it be long enough?
