The Gossip Witch - A Post DH Harry Potter RPG [21 Jan 2009|11:38am]

RULESPOSTINGCHARACTERSCASTWANTEDPBSAPPLICATION

Spotted: PP having lunch with DM-- Is she trying to get her hooks back into her old flame? LB and PtP coming into Madam Primpernelle's with some rather large bags-- Seems their beauty isn't entirely as natural as they claim! HA and SB wearing familiar yellow and black scarfs-- reminiscing about old times, ladies?

It's 2005, and Voldemort has been gone for over six years. People are moving on, and finally living their lives. With some changes, of course. In 2003, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes came out with a brand new, and very popular, product: magical journals through which witches and wizards could keep in constant contact with one another. But with that constant contact came something else. A new mystery that the young magical community both loves and hates.

She calls herself "The Gossip Witch", and no one knows her true identity. All they know is that if there's gossip in the Wizarding community, The Gossip Witch knows it, and she's not afraid to print it. Entries from this unknown source appear in the journals weekly, sometimes even daily; printing everything there is to know about the lives and scandals of former Hogwarts graduates. She may use initials, but just about everyone knows who the rumors are about.

Will your character end up on Gossip Girl's daily dishings? And how will this affect their lives, their relationships, and their emotions? No matter how it plays out, you know you love her...

XOXO,
The Gossip Witch

After the events of March 29th, 2007 our Heroes are disheartened, spread across the U.S., and quickly losing their numbers. And to make matters worse, one of their own was working up a plan that would sacrifice his peers to better himself. As if that weren't enough, someone is out there with malicious intent toward people who are "special". Someone is hunting and rounding up anyone with abilities. No one knows who the hunter is or where the hunter comes from. And no one knows where their peers are going. Will opposing sides find allies in each other to end this menace, or will they do as they always have and serve only themselves and their own purposes? Only time will tell... and time is something they're running out of.

[info]on_the_map

It is 1977. At the turn of the new year a group called the Death Eaters entered a London club and massacred two hundred and seventeen muggles and wizards alike. They left a green symbol shining in the night sky as a marker and a message-- Blood Purity; Take Back the Stolen Right.

The atmosphere has thickened. What was once a carefree time for a group of teenagers at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is now a time of fear and uncertainty. Those who plan to join the ministry have to reconsider what they will be signing up for.

Right now, at least, they are living at the safest place to be. They can try to go on with life as usual.

Time owes no man or wizard, and while glory fades, the thirst to prove one’s self is always there. It’s been over twenty-five years since the defeat of Voldemort and as the students of Hogwarts board the train in the winter of 2023, they can’t help but wonder if everything is as well as their parents—who’ve seen darker days—insist it is. The worn pages of The Daily Prophet tell of an attack on the Ministry’s annual New Year Celebration, protesters who insist that their demands be met, and unrest and corruption in the Ministry itself. Everything actually had seemed well before the students went on Christmas break, although most peg that to the Ministry’s way of hiding things from the public. And while worried eyes and tired smiles are exchanged on the trip back to the safe haven that’s been their home for quite a while now, the students are in for more than they realise.

[info]sictransit_rpg is a next-gen Harry Potter role-playing game. Our game focuses on the Hogwarts student body (6th & 7th years) and is set in the year 2023. Our game is focused on character development, as well as their political views and the world around them, especially concerning the state of both Wizarding and muggle society. While our characters are still in school, they are quite literally the next generation, and will be the ones that'll take their parent's place of power in the world as we they know it.

Opening January 9th, 2009. Holds are now open!
CURRENTLY SEEKING: 7th year Hufflepuffs, 6th year Gryffindors, and many more characters here.

The Marked [21 Jan 2009|08:21pm]

Premise | Taken | Held | Rules | Application
What makes a person good? What makes them evil? Is it their actions, or do ends justify means? Is it something that is at the core of every person? Are you born one way or the other? Is there truly a right and wrong side to every thing? What even defines "good" or "evil"? Is it inherent or is it something forced upon us? Perhaps it is simply the sum of everything we're faced with.

What side would you find yourself on if everything you'd ever known was stripped away? What happens when your world has been reset and all you have are your memories of the life you've been taken from? What if you discovered you were just a pawn in some bigger player's game? Would you change? Would you join forces with a serial killer or turn your back on a hero to get to the bottom of a problem bigger than you? Or would you do nothing at all?

The Marked is a multi-fandom game. Unlike most other games in this genre, we endorse canon portrayals of your favorite characters and we also provide a working plot for you and your characters to participate in.

Anticipated game restart January 31st

Applications now being accepted

In the year 2020, the world came to an end.

It began with a vaccine. A way to protect those who weren't already afflicted with HIV, and to perhaps help cure those who were. It was meant to save mankind. Instead, it condemned them to extinction. Entire cities fell virtually overnight. Chaos filled the streets. Governments were overturned, anarchy became the new order. Hope was lost until, almost eighteen months after the ordeal first began, a small group of the brightest minds came together and created a plan to save the world.

In 2025, New Hope was created.

A large, domed facility built just outside Geneva, Switzerland, New Hope was meant to be their salvation. It was safe, from both the elements and the dying victims that still roamed the neighboring hills. There was a chance to start fresh, to create life once more. They simply had to find a cure. Unfortunately, with their own health waning and time running out, a cure was further from their grasps than the stars in the sky.

The answer came, they thought, in the form of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, LHC was capable of creating a gap, between time and space. It was with this theory that the scientists spent the final moments of their life preparing New Hope for the arrivals. Videotapes, audio recordings, even written instructions were set in place to answer any questions. The message they left was loud and clear. These arrivals were the last hope of a dying planet. Together, they may be able to find a cure. If not, it was up to them to ensure the planet survived.

The year is now 2030.

For five long years, New Hope has remained empty. The scientists are long since dead and the most amazing creation of their time is slowly crumbling from neglect and decay. Yet the LHC has never once faltered in its daily attempts to open the hypothesized rift. And at long last, it is beginning to succeed.

New people are arriving almost daily. Some pulled here without their knowledge, some coming in the name of exploration. Beings of all shapes and sizes, all walks of life, now roam the streets of New Hope. They have been assigned a task by those before them to save the world.

That is, of course, provided they're capable of surviving themselves.

New Hope is a multi-fandom RPG. We allow for most any fictional character from most any fictional setting. This game is set on a Post-Apocalyptic Earth in a fictional city which does not exist in any known fandom. Due to the darker nature of this game, we ask that all applicants be at least 18 years of age or older.
