Welcome to the City of Sin ( original supernatural game ) [18 Jan 2009|03:55am]
Las Vegas is know as the City of Sin, a place of hedonistic desire and where you can let everything run wild. Two hundred years later and nothing has changed. Well, fine, a little bit has changed.

The City is now in the hands of The Elari Cabal, a group of Demons (well, mainly) who are happily taking care of the city, nurturing it into a playground that any supernatural would be proud to call home. Then the Raidan Cabal decided to move in, along with a currently-playing-nice Vampire Coven and their wolf breathern who don't seem to keen to stick to the rules.

All the activity means that Las Vegas is rumbling, tension is building because all those powerful supernaturals can not be in one place without their being an explosion. Will the Elari keep their throne or will the Raidans snatch it away from them? What about the therianthropes; how far will they go for territory?

At the end of thing two things are certain; it is going to get messy and people are going to die.

What we are looking for;
» Dedicated, creative, self-motivated players who are willing to push boundaries.
» Due to the nature of CoS we would like to see some strong characters. Characters who will force others to take action.
» At CoS your hand will not be held through plot and it is expected of you to push your character forward regarding plot.
» Players who enjoy a dark setting and like to push limitations and themselves.

At the beginning of time, Earth was created. It doesn’t matter who or what made it – if some great all-powerful being thought it and it was, or that it developed for millions of years before becoming what we know now. All that matters is that Earth was. Earth supported life, and it flourished. Creatures of all size and shape were born into this universe, each with their own purpose – their own fate. Each creature knew its place – all except one. Man. Man was, at first, a friend to all creatures, but after a time Man grew greedy. They multiplied and spread across the world, dominating it, devouring, controlling and destroying as they went. One day, the Earth said to Man; “If you cannot control yourselves, then I will find ways to control you.” But Man was the ruler of all creatures and would not listen. “Man is the most powerful creature in the universe,” they said, and this made the Earth angry.

Earth was never going to last us until the end of eternity. Man’s footprint upon it was large and irreparable. In its last dying days, the Earth gave to each creature – except man – new strength, new power, and a fierce desire to hunt and kill the alleged rulers of all creatures. Earth could no longer support the life of Man, and we were forced to flee. Outcast from our own crumbling planet, we searched for years amongst the stars, desperate for a new home.

The year is now 675 AE. The Warren is a facility lead by General Threarah. Fiver, who possesses the abilities of a seer, has a frightening premonition that tells of doom and destruction coming to the Warren. The Threarah refuses to listen to him, and so, with a small group, his brother Hazel leads the way to freedom on the rundown ship Watership Down. The roleplay begins three weeks after the escape, and just after the arrival of Holly and Jorelle. Fiver has blurry ideas of where they need to go. Somewhere they will be safe to start their own life – a planet, far away from the rule of Frith and Rainbow Corporation and the greed and war mongering of the Elil. The trouble, however … is getting there.

All the universe will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; fighter, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

You do not need to have read the book (of the same name) or seen the movie to participate in this roleplay.

WANTED CHARACTERS:
Buck
Alcyone
Chervil
Basia

Somewhere Bruce Banner is experimenting with gamma radiation, somewhere Dr. Henry Pym is making headway on discovering his Pym Particles, and somewhere Peter Parker is getting ready to go to a science demonstration that will change his life . . . but this game isn't about them (sorry, did we fake you out there?). Right now the only heroes that are operating in New York are some young mutants -- and they don't even have a name for their team yet. We are going back, waaaay back, and re-creating the formation of the X-Men, in a alternate universe game that is neither comic, movie, nor cartoon cannon, but rather, is a mix.

(Do you want to know more?)

PREMISE :: TAKEN :: RULES :: APPLICATION

heroesfugitives fugitives_mod fugitives_ooc
Game Opens on January 30th, 2008! Now Accepting Applications!

After the events of March 29th, 2007 our Heroes are disheartened, spread across the U.S., and quickly losing their numbers. And to make matters worse, one of their own was working up a plan that would sacrifice his peers to better himself. As if that weren't enough, someone is out there with malicious intent toward people who are "special". Someone is hunting and rounding up anyone with abilities. No one knows who the hunter is or where the hunter comes from. And no one knows where their peers are going. Will opposing sides find allies in each other to end this menace, or will they do as they always have and serve only themselves and their own purposes? Only time will tell... and time is something they're running out of.

HeroesFugitives will mirror Volume 4 of the series starting from March 30th, 2007 (after episode 3.13 Dual) and run in real time. We will be mostly AU from there, but will incorporate some of the events that take place in the rest of season 3 with our game.

Welcome to The Quidditch Village

In December 2003, the Ministry of Magic decided to hold a Quidditch Tournament with the old four teams when Harry Potter was a member. All four Hogwarts Teams decided to go, although some notable players were missing as they had died in battle, they still went to Hogwarts on April 14th. It was meant to be a fun way to start a new tradition of bring past players to the Hogwarts Pitch.

As Oliver Wood, Marcus Flint, Roger Davies, and Zacharias Smith walked to the center to shake hands, the teams surrounded them in a circle. That's when it happened. To the 28 players standing on the pitch it felt as though the ground had fallen out from beneath them. It was almost like a dream as they landed just outside a village. They all looked around trying to figure out what had happened. Seconds later an old woman who wouldn't show her face walked up to them, some had their wands drawn, some were just watching, some were getting ready to cry. As the old woman opened her mouth to speak, two figures started to walk towards her...

"Welcome, it is about time you showed up. We've been waiting for you. Welcome to your new home. You are tasked with completing a tournament and figuring out life here. You all have a room, and a job. Don't worry, time here isn't what you are used to. You will not miss anything from the world you are from.

There are two additional players here, they will take their rightful spots on Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. The two who have come in their place will act as substitutes for all four teams." The old woman smiled at them, and the two men flanking her showed their faces... Cedric Diggory and Fred Weasley. Each has been here since their respected deaths, growing to the age they would have been in your world."

Each player was quickly assigned a room, a journal to communicate in that also tells them when practice and matches are, and a day job... There is no trading, it is merely what the lives of these 30 Quidditch players now lead... With the promise as soon as a winner is announced they can go home....

Let the Games Start...

Needed: Terence Higgs, Jessica Rivers & Fred Weasley
