The Afterlife has come at last... One might expect paradise or eternal damnation, but something else entirely is in store for the wizards and witches who find themselves on a remote island in the sea. Atlantis is a combination of paradise and damnation, though that makes the afterlife all the sweeter. The residents have their own demons to contend with in time without end, but they are being governed by a higher power that has yet to reveal itself.
This higher power has taken it upon itself to set up a fickle environment, throwing a wrench into the workings of Atlantean Afterlife. Will the residents of this lonely island be able to survive eternity with the same dignity that they displayed in their lives?
Despite these vast changes, one thing has remained the same. Recently, Hogwarts Castle has appeared on the island. It is surrounded by the same terrain that frequented its' "living" twin. Along with its' appearance, new arrivals have accompanied its' appearance.
Atlantean residents are now faced with their School Age versions.

In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded.
The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five.
It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known.
It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing.
Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty.
The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law.
Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive.
The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?
A note about the mods:
The mods at Fruitful are experienced players who have seen their fair share of fantastic games...and the not-so fantastic games. First and foremost, they are players who want to be a part of an active, successful game. They are here to listen to your opinions, and to create a community of players, not just a game for characters to be played in. The mods care about any player who is accepted or even just thinking about applying. Every character will have some sort of plot to participate in, and no entry a character makes will be ignored.
The role play is set in a fictional town by the name of Innovo, California. It is the year 2048.

What happens after ever after? Do our beloved heroes and villains vanish? Are they doomed to repeat themselves over and over again with each human retelling? Do they continue to progress and grow even when their most avid fans & biographers stopped listening to them decades, even centuries ago? Pentamerone is the last stronghold of human imagination. The hundreds of magical lands and worlds that used to exist in the minds of children are now in a state of decay. As a result, the figures of legend have fled to this newly imagined land. Some are afraid Pentamerone will merely become a graveyard for the last of the fairy tales, others are determined to start a new life in their promised land. It's up to you, and them, to decide how they will survive. |

In the year 2020, the world came to an end.
It began with a vaccine. A way to protect those who weren't already afflicted with HIV, and to perhaps help cure those who were. It was meant to save mankind. Instead, it condemned them to extinction. Entire cities fell virtually overnight. Chaos filled the streets. Governments were overturned, anarchy became the new order. Hope was lost until, almost eighteen months after the ordeal first began, a small group of the brightest minds came together and created a plan to save the world.
In 2025, New Hope was created.
A large, domed facility built just outside Geneva, Switzerland, New Hope was meant to be their salvation. It was safe, from both the elements and the dying victims that still roamed the neighboring hills. There was a chance to start fresh, to create life once more. They simply had to find a cure. Unfortunately, with their own health waning and time running out, a cure was further from their grasps than the stars in the sky.
The answer came, they thought, in the form of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, LHC was capable of creating a gap, between time and space. It was with this theory that the scientists spent the final moments of their life preparing New Hope for the arrivals. Videotapes, audio recordings, even written instructions were set in place to answer any questions. The message they left was loud and clear. These arrivals were the last hope of a dying planet. Together, they may be able to find a cure. If not, it was up to them to ensure the planet survived.
The year is now 2030.
For five long years, New Hope has remained empty. The scientists are long since dead and the most amazing creation of their time is slowly crumbling from neglect and decay. Yet the LHC has never once faltered in its daily attempts to open the hypothesized rift. And at long last, it is beginning to succeed.
New people are arriving almost daily. Some pulled here without their knowledge, some coming in the name of exploration. Beings of all shapes and sizes, all walks of life, now roam the streets of New Hope. They have been assigned a task by those before them to save the world.
That is, of course, provided they're capable of surviving themselves.
New Hope is a multi-fandom RPG. We allow for most any fictional character from most any fictional setting. This game is set on a Post-Apocalyptic Earth in a fictional city which does not exist in any known fandom. Due to the darker nature of this game, we ask that all applicants be at least 18 years of age or older.

description Taking place immediately after the curtain call of the original production, this community is intended to infuse the messages of RENT into both beloved and player-made characters, as well as to develop every bohemian into a 3D, personable character within themselves.
In the familial atmosphere of the Life Cafe in the East Village, an anonymous, aspiring playwright has left a large, blank book to be viewed and written in by the cafe's various regulars. Jokingly called The Libretto by the cover, this book is used by the cafe's customers to get things off their chest, to ask for advice, or just to communicate within.
And sometimes, the bohemians might just find messages from the hidden Librettist as well...
What does your character have to say?
needed Maureen, Joanne, and Benny are needed to complete the main ensemble. There should be advanced roleplayers looking to flesh out these characters' backstory as much as humanely possible (or close). Original characters and characters based on actual ensemble staples (the La Vie Boheme ensemble, the carolers, The Man, etc.) are ALWAYS welcomed, as well, as long as they're believable and have their own history to play off of in the game.
taken Mimi, Roger, Mark, Collins, and four original characters (a teen addict, a working student, a shelter volunteer of sorts, and a struggling artist) are currently taken. Two more OCs are expected to get applications in presently.
notes The game has a sort of "real time" atmosphere (the time in-game is currently January 1, 1997; begins right off of closing curtain). We're hoping to become very active and a good refuge for RENThead writers (complete with several subcomms to have as much communication as possible).
Also, when it comes to the main ensemble, we're trying to keep as much of the OBC as possible. This means Maureen's PB would absolutely have to be Idina Menzel, and Benny's should be Taye. Joanne is the exception, as there's not ready screencaps/icons of Fredi Walker; in this case, Tracie Thoms would be very accepted (since we love Tracie, anyway). IF YOU WANT TO APPLY BUT NEED ICONS, WE HAVE THEM; DON'T HESITATE TO ASK.

Not a roleplay to take home to your mother, CoS is a place of violence, hatred and anger. Vicious creatures lurk in the depths of it's shadows. Vampires, therianthropes, witches, and plenty of others all call this disgusting city their home. Gangs line the streets with their mismatched weapons and their unmatched need for territory. Mafia and mobs all fight for the supreme power, and packs all fight for the territory. Humans... Well they have no choice in the matter. Supernatural's are taking over everything they know, and they don't even bloody well know it!
So grab a lemonaide and sit back. Watch the wolves tear themselves apart and watch the vampires lap up the bloody mess. It should be fun.
